I tried posting photos from photobucket and it wouldn;t let me. Said, it was copyrighted and couldn't post without permission from owner. How do I post photos then?

Is it from your Photobucket account?

Have you tried again, Drivermom? I just tried and had no difficulty, so I assume it is now fixed. Right, Celeste?

I just tried again and it said the same thing. Copyrighted. Do not use without contributer's permission. I don;t know if I am doing something wrong or what.

I was able to get photos, including this thumbnail, from your account with no copyright warning, so it DOES work. We just need to find out why YOU aren't getting it! Drivermom, are you using either of the two codes shown circled in red in the example below (those with square brackets)?

I will try it again. I think I was doing something wrong.

I think I was doing something wrong. It's confusing, so I'm not surprised! I suggest using the IMG Code. All you have to do is copy and paste it here. Nor formatting needed! Let us know if it works.Edited: Nevermind. I see you did it! Good job, Drivermom!

I tried using IMG code and still the same thing pops up. I don't know, I will just post my photobucket link for now. I will do it in byways though. can you move my post with my photobucket link from the General section to byways or something. When I posted it I wasn't thinking that anyone could look at that. thank you.
When I orginally posted the first pics of my bedroom, I never had a problem but now I am. I don;t know why. I probably did something wrong. Oh well.
Thanks for your help though

- Hello, just putting in my 2 cents. DriverMom is getting message "Copyrighted. Do not use without contributor's permission." whenever she tries to post in the Photos section. That's the exact wording of the message that Celeste just added to all photos we post in the Photos section. takeonestepatatime.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=4439&page=2#49420Sequence of events: March 22: DriverMom posted her "before" bedroom photos on the Photos board. March 27: Celeste added copyright notice to all photos on the Photos board. March 29: DriverMom is gets copyright notice when she attempts to post her "update" bedroom photos on the Photos board. I'm wondering if there's some way DriverMom is hitting keyboard or mouse that is triggering the message to pop up? I'm wondering if she actually is posting the photos but her mouse is hovering over it after posting, so then the copyright message pops up? Or maybe there's some weird feedback loop going on between SOS and DriverMom's photobucket account? I just think it's interesting that the wording is the same. (unless of course Celeste used a generic standard wording). Consider this: DriverMom, are you trying to post the updated photos inside the SAME post as the original bedroom photos? Or are you trying to post them into a NEW message at end of the same thread? That might make a difference. If DriverMom is trying to add the new photos into the inside of the earlier message (next to the other photos), that might be what's causing the confilict. Just my hypothesis. =

Duh! I'm blind! By Jove, you are RIGHT, Lioness. Thank you! You should be able to post those pictures in the 'Photos!' section just like you did last time, Drivermom. If you right click on it once the pictures are posted, however, you will get the copyright warning. I recently added the copyright code to discourage people from copying pictures off Stepping Out of Squalor 'Photos!' section. If you click on ANY photo in the 'Photos!' section, you will get that warning. You should be able to add photographs without a problem, however.

Drivermom, I am trying to duplicate the results you are getting, but I think I need more information. What browser are you using? Are you posting a new post when this happens? Are you replying to your previous post? Are you modifying your own post when this happens? Are you adding a new photo to an existing post? Are you exchaning one photo in an existing post for another photo? So far my tests have resulted in photos being uploaded without any difficulties. You can follow my test process here.

I have noticed the problem with the "Copyrighted..." message. It happens when I right-click on the Photos forum on the main page. That's how I read forums - I like to open them all in new tabs (in Firefox) by right-clicking on them. From a couple of days ago it doesn't work with the Photos forum - instead, I have to left-click on the photo forum, and then I can continue normally like before. So, once you left-click the photo forum, and you're inside, that is you can see titles of posts there, you can continue like before, left-click on the "new thread" button and attach photos with codes in your post.

Ok, now right-clicking on the photo forum from the main page works like before - I can open it in a new tab. However, once inside the photo forum, when I right-click on a title of a post, the copyright message pops again. Can we take that off too, and only leave the message when someone right-clicks on the photo itself?

I have noticed the problem with the "Copyrighted..." message. It happens when I right-click on the Photos forum on the main page. Hmm. I use Firefox too, and use this method to open threads. (Are we twins separated at birth, Marigold?) I haven't come across this problem, and attempts to recreate it haven't been successful so far. Can we take that off too, and only leave the message when someone right-clicks on the photo itself? Unfortunately no. The code can't distinguish between copying photos and copying text. If I play with the code to exclude copying text, image protection quits working in some browsers.
