If I started a thread, can I go back and delete the entire thread, as though it never existed, or can I only delete just what I posted?

Once you post a message, you can only modify the message, not delete it in its entirety. (Mind you, you can remove text or pictures when you modify.) Altering the first post in a thread makes no changes in the posts that follow it. For example, if someone quoted you, it will still show up in their post.

In extreme cases, perhaps when someone's privacy has been compromised, can the whole post be deleted by a mod?
