Whew, it took me long enough to get here, eh? One day I'll figure out how to post my old avatar, but rest assured, it's me, ShopGirl, relaxin' by the swanky pool in sunny California with a martini in hand, black cat at my feet.
Still working retail, still amazed to be back home in California, still driving my 21 year old convertible. And aside from a few paper tiger incidents, still keeping my house neat, clean and tidy, thanks to all the inspiration I got from you girls over at the SS forums and listzilla.
I just finished rereading all my old posts and making web archives of the few I wanted to keep, and I signed out of SS this evening for the last time. The end of an era and the beginning of another.
Oh, and also: still getting text messages, calls, emails and iTunes gifts from that crazy young manager back in DC. He left the company in 2006, I transferred 2700 miles away, and it's settled into a nice friendship. He still inspires me in my photography work and makes me laugh. And my DH and I are still feeling so blessed to have sold our house in DC and made it back home to California.

Welcome, ShopGirl! I'm glad that you found us. We are still missing some valued friends, so I hope that they find their way here as well.
It is nice that so many new people are finding us, too! Woo hoo!
