All of you are AWESOME! Thank you.
I was up very late into the morning trying to make some headway (but it was a good "late into the morning", not a panicky one). Besides, I work best in the very early morning and very late night. Sleep? Pshaw. ;-)
Today I'll do more. The papers are about 60% of it. When I get them done, the rest won't be as hard or as time-consuming.
Thanks again for all your cheers and encouragement!

For your photos question, you'll need to get a "photobucket" or "flickr" or other online "photo-sharing" account -- a place on the internet that's your own storage place for photos.
You can get your own account for FREE at such photo-sharing websites.
You don't need a home computer.
Then you upload the photos from your camera directly to your online photo account.
If that isn't possible, then transfer photos from camera to home computer, and then from home computer to online photo account.
Or perhaps there is a way to transfer your photos into email, and then email them to a hotmail or yahoo or gmail or other "internet email account" -- and then find a way to transfer them from your email account to photobucket or flickr.
(perhaps you can find ideas at the website of the company who made your camera?)
However you do it, the main thing is to get your photos into an online photo account that belongs to you.
Then you post the URL of the photo into the photos section (with special "image" coding characters at front and rear of the URL).
The specific details (with illustrations!) on how to do all this are stickied to the top of the technical forum in a thread by Little_Ninja about images.

WAY TO GO!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!! HURRAH!!!!! YOU'RE ALMOST THERE!!!! I am sooooooo envious Paper is also my biggest problem. It ends up being shoved into bags and tossed into closets. We MUST remember to deal with each piece promptly (yeah right ). You are a TRUE INSPIRATION. If we had a SOS Hall of Fame, you would be a candidate!

Paperpiler, you're doing great! The easiest way to convert cell phone photos to post here is to send them from your phone to yourself via email. When emailed, the photos are then accessible from your email account, if your email service allows photo attachments, and I'm not sure if there are any left that don't. Then save to your computer because you have to upload them to your photo saving account. I recommend Photobucket or Flickr, but I like Photobucket better myslef, although I have both. Then you can post photos here from your photo saving account. For that last step, see this thread in the Technical Help section on how to post photos at SOS.

Oh my gosh, y'all have no idea how much motivation this provides for me to keep going!!! It's been a rough week (other than the bedroom stuff), but I know that FINALLY having a clean place will just push me more and more toward other goals. That, and I can actually THINK clearly.
I made some progress, but it's slow going with paper. I have important mixed in with unimportant, and that's okay. I want to take my time and do it right.
It's going to hit near 100 here today and I've not been wanting to turn the AC on at all, but I think that if I really want to make a big dent in this day, I need cold air and a cold drink (or twelve!) Sooooo, upward and onward!
THANK YOU!!!!

PS Thank you for the photo info. I do have a home computer, and I didn't know till the other day that I could send photos from my phone to my email (uh...2 yrs with a cell phone w/ a camera, and I never knew that).
I'll try to share pics. I did take some pics of the rooms when I never thought I'd see them clean. And well, imagine that...they're clean.

It's going very slowly. Ugh...papers take forever, along with all the other stuff that's in there. I'm just so busy dealing with so many situations at one time and they're all priorities. About this hot spot stuff: I'm keeping everything else clean and organized. I have an apartment that's on the smaller side (though not really small), and so I have the piles on my bed going on when I'm working in there (but I do sleep in my bed often...they're easy to just set somewhere else in the mess). Anyway, for the last week, I've been dozing off on the couch at night. And when I wake up, and stand up, the first thing I notice is that everything around me IS CLEAN. I can't even tell you what a wonderful feeling that is...patrolling those hot spots like mad. I have long had a basket on a side table for my keys and important current papers, etc. Well yesterday, I had to find a current-need paper in a hurry, so I dumped out the basket onto my DR table, grabbed the paper and ran out the door. And I came back and...oh, HERE'S a concept ...I PUT THE STUFF BACK IN THE BASKET AND GOT IT OFF THE TABLE. Geez, how that works.... And when I woke up this morning, I half expected to look toward the table and see the stuff I dumped out. (I was half asleep yet, but it's amazing how this stuff gnaws at your psyche so much that what you do when you're awake is ingrained when you sleep.) So I looked in that direction, thinking, "Yeah, gotta pick up those papers. Keep the table clean keep the table clean keep the table clean." And I looked over there and the table was ALREADY cleaned off again. But I digress . Bedroom is going slowly, but it is going. I'm working in there about 4 hours a day and then setting it aside to work on other priorities. Thanks for asking, skatters!
