Actually, I think it's been more like two years since the house was truly clean, because I remembered today that we were having a run of bad luck two springs ago, and I thought then that it might be because our house was a mess (I believe in feng shui). And I seem to recall I made an attempt, then, to get the place cleaned up, but didn't get it all clean at one time and then I let it go.

Keriamon, Great Job!! Woo hoo!!
You are so right in that it is easier to put one dish away than a counter full. I still struggle keeping things picked up though. A lot of it has to do with having kids. We left for the beach with most of the house's floors picked up. Today, within less than 24 hrs of being home, the kids had trashed the playroom and the living room! I had a long discussion with my 5 and 3 yr olds about playing with one toy and putting it back before they get the next one.
Thank you for sharing your success.

FANTASTIC! Very inspirational, thanks for sharing, that makes me want to go out and make sure my kitchen sink is clean at least (it's ant season). I'm still working on the living room. It has become the storage area my bed used to be. I try to be grateful at least it's closer to the front door now. The disaster is on its way toward the garbage cans.
