You know, Rennie, I think more happened here than meets the eye. Think about it: - Didn't the inspector know that you had been in the hospital?
- Then she didn't come around when she was supposed to, delaying the inspection that many days.
- When she finally came, she "forgot" her form. Who does that? That would be like the postman forgetting his bag or cart of mail.
- By "forgetting" her form she had to put off her official report for another month.
I think your inspector is a very compassionate person who cared enough about you to give you as much time as possible to make a difference in your living conditions. She wouldn't have known that you would have the services of an aide and perhaps decided to give you as much of a break that she legally could. She even said, "And I'm sure when I come back next month, it will look even better than it does now." You surprised her and she seemed to be just as thrilled as you were. Hugs to that inspector for her understanding & compassion, to your aide for being such a compatible partner, and to you for never giving up hope!
