I have read most of the posts on your forum, and they give me hope.. I know that I have made a mess of my home, and now I want to rescue myself. I live alone with 2 dogs, and I work nights. The weird schedule has really caused alot of upsets to what I thought was a normal schedule. I guess what I really wanted to say was ..thanks so much for being here.I have been lonely in my squalor, you guys have changed that. Wish me luck.I truely do wish you all the best.

Excellent! Hooray for clean dishes!
And welcome to the board. No, you're definitely not alone - I think there are even other members who work nights.
Looking forward to getting to know you better.

Welcome, from one feline to another! Great job on the dishes! It is amazing to me what I can do with the help of my on-line friends. I'm so glad that you joined our little group!

Hi! 7 years on that shift - and I don't think I cleaned once! Now I work "normal" hours - it's less cleaning and more excavation! Welcome aboard

Thanks for the friendly encouragement... I feel a little better. Working nights really puts you out of syc.. I'm not about to give up on cleaning this place up...just a bit discouraged by how much there is to do. Where to start, where to start.....

Sad to say my sucess was temporary..I feel so bad about it too. The entire house is overwelmingly messy again.. Guess I better get motivated, huh? That is the awful truth about cleaning up....[glow=red,2,300]only read further at your own risk![/glow] But the secret is that stuff doesn't stay done! Dishes certainly get dirty and pile up again. Even quicker if you cook a lot! Don't even get me started on laundry! Even if you wash EVERY stitch of laundry, by sundown you have another pile!
I know, I know, it sounds just crazy! This was a huge revelation to me, too. No wonder cleaning up the squalor is so hard...
But the fact that "the universe" keeps getting messy again is no reason to discount the fact that you DID do the dishes. You had a great success... ...now lets just both go do some more of those dishes, and beat them back into submission again.
