"Only Robinson Crusoe had everything done by Friday." -- AnonymousI love quotes. When I worked in an office full-time, I used to post a funny quote concerning whatever project we were working on over my desk each day. Originally, I just did it to amuse or inspire myself, but soon everyone else in the office started dropping by to read them each day and even began making suggestions for future days. Eventually, it became an unofficial office tradition. It was fun and I miss it. So, lucky readers, I've decided to restart that tradition online here at SooS. Each day I'm going to post some humorous quote about cleaning, clutter, procrastination, getting things done, etc., on this thread in the hopes that it will amuse or, heaven forbid, possibly inspire you. That way my copious collection of quotes won't go to waste. Please feel free to chime in with neat and nifty quotes of your own because it's great to find new ones to add to my library. What an excellent idea! Especially appropriate to begin during National Humor Month.
Here's one I like:

It took me a sec to get the quote, but then I remembered Robinson's companion was named Friday....right?

Exactly right, Blackswan! That's also where the phrases "Man Friday" and "Girl Friday" originated from. I think we could probably all use our own "Fridays" to help around the house (well, at least I could ).

Thanks for the quote, MessyMimi! I've never understood how anyone with kids living at home could keep an immaculate house. I think just attempting it would make me completely insane. . .

"There aren't enough days in the weekend." -- Rod SchmidtI know there's never enough days for me, anyway. Anyone else? -------------- Meme, it's so great to see you! I'm so glad the quote was what you needed to see. Butterfly, thank you! I'm sure lots of people will post lots of great quotes as we go along, just like. . . Hope! The spiders behind the evil piles in my bedroom, 'Thelma' and 'Louise,' love this quote.

MessyMimi, that quote is brilliant! I absolutely love it! I believe I will have that printed on a shirt (a shirt that may remain dirty much of the time).

This is even more true if you live in an apartment that's not on the ground floor. . .
