Yeah, I know, it's the kitchen. And what am I doing about it? Nothing. Sitting here. Thinking I should clean but not getting up to go actually clean. No, really I am going to go clean now. Wish I had some help at the moment but I don't

Oh........finding it is no problem! It's the trash and the garbage bowl Well I didn't go into the kitchen but I did start picking up the living room. DS1 is "helping". I will get to the kitchen later today, if nothing else to get the icky stuff out. I want to get the living room done since that's where he's confined to and I can rest easier without watching him like a hawk. I had a inspiration last night at work when I was organizing the mess (departments are being reconstructed). Everything got thrown into boxes and it was a headache. Since it was slow, I went through everything and grouped like items and somethings I secured neatly by looping up cords and securing them with rubberbands. I didn't go all out beacuse things will be moved again BUT at least when we do finally get settled, pulling stuff out of boxes won't be a headache. I'm thinking of implementing that at home while I move stuff around. It's easier to pull an extra mouse of a box with the cord wrapped up and secured then one with a cord wrapped and twisted among everything else.

Well I got the living room picked up for the most part. I have a stack of papers and books that need to go somewhere yet but at least they aren't scattered all around. I discovered a cheap way to entertain ds. I have one of those mach vacuums and he sat in front of it, watching the dirt swirl around when I was using the attachments on the couch I didn't hear a peep out of him the entire time. Now it's his naptime and I have to run someone to work then maybe I'll get into the kitchen.

I realized my garbage can stank, and it wasnt feasible to bleach it,so I sprayed it with Lysol and it worked like a charm

I came home yesterday and noticed a smell - the drains and plumbing here is bad - when it rains alot it gets smelly - I don't notice it till I leave and come home again - pour bleach in the sink and open the windows helps - but still that drain odor is there.

Success maybe it's sewer gas? Sometimes you need to get the pipes snaked with a heavy duty plumbing or sewer snake to get rid of roots and grease and yuck. Don't ask me how I've become such an expert, but suffice it to say that it's now just over a year that I am "smell free".
