Thank you everyone for your sympathy and encouragement. The girls are now working on the upper floor. They're hoping to clear out what was David's study before they have to leave so that it can become mine. It was a real sacrifice when I gave him that room as his study. It is light and overlooks the valley and mountain. As a result, I was stuck doing my work in the living room, which is so dark it needs a light on all the time. However, he never used it as a study, just chucked broken equipment and unopened letters inside. I am so looking forward to using it. I can work in daylight up there, and then come down to the living room in the evening, with curtains drawn and a couple of candles lit for extra cosiness. The house isn't smelly anymore. There's no cat hair on the carpets. I just hope I can keep it that way!!! The girls are also weeding through my stuff. It is just a little bit easier agreeing something should be thrown away when I am not actually holding it, but it still makes me feel queasy! They've got me lots of boxes to store things in and are trying to organise stuff in a sensible way.

Dear Meryt,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I know this has been a long and difficult process for you. I'm thankful, though, that you have the support of your daughters. Welcome back to SOS.
