Today is Thomas's one-week anniversary, and not only has he not had an accident, but I've kept on top of the litter box. Putting it under my desk has been amazingly effective! I may have papers tossed around under there, but it's not cat-dirty. The box is about 1 foot away from my legs as I sit here. Having that kind of squalor under my nose, as much time as I spend on this computer, would have me quite literally throwing up.
So yay Thomas, and yay me!

Yay Misc, and YAy for Thomas (for no accidents).
Wish I could say the same for my dog Bennett - he's on medication now which makes him very thirsty all the time. I try to take him out every hour or two, but sometimes I don't, and he takes matters into his own hands, so to speak. (never had a dog as hard to housebreak as him before)

It must be very hard on him too, if he was fully trained before. My mom's little dog runs and hides if she has an accident. Mom tries to love on her and reassure her, but as soon as Mom walks away, she's off like a shot again. Like she's embarassed. Your poor lil pooch.

I honestly think he just forgets the rules sometimes, I caught him the other day going in the apt., RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! I gave him quite a scolding, and he seemed quite contrite. I'm only giving him a little water at a time now, instead of filling his bowl all the way up, and refilling it as soon as its empty, as I used to do. I just give him a little water every 30- 45 minutes or so. Didn't mean to hijack your thread, you should be very proud of Thomas, and all the good work you've done for yourself! Congrats!
