I have been eyeing the Shark steam mop.But have read the cons of it are flimsy construction, only warm steam not hot,and you must constantly press for steam ,its not automatic. Is the Bissel better or maybe another type?I want scorching automatic steam.Anyone have a steam mop?

I bought a Shark about a year and a half ago. The first time I used it a plastic piece broke off, so yeah, they aren't constructed very well. I really enjoyed using it because it was light and it did a good job on the floors but after 6 months it just stopped producing steam. Soooo I replaced it with a McCullough steamer. This one has a tank that rolls on the floor so you can use it for hours without refilling it. It came with tons of attachments and produces super hot steam. The cons are that it's hard to find a place to store it and it is kind of a production to fill the tank, wait for it to heat up, put on the right attachment, if you can find it....(you get the picture). It really does clean well and for some reason DH loves to use it so I rarely have to worry about dirty floors .

I have the Shark for 2 years and haven't had a problem at all with it. Perhaps there are a few bad ones out there and I hit it lucky.
