Well done on the laundry, mollyt.
One laundry-related issue you might want to check out is bedding in your household.
Over the years, I've collected lots of unmatched bits, and old pillows and duvets I kept "just in case". Gradually, this got scattered all over the house. Some was piled on top of the wardrobes, where the cats jump up, sit on it and cover it in hair.
So now I'm in the process of throwing out everything so that I am left with only: 2 pillows on my bed, 2 pillows on each of the futons in the other two bedrooms. One duvet for each bed/futon, plus one extra warm spare one for me in winter. One set of bedding for each futon, two sets of bedding for me. I have cupboard space to store the guest duvets and pillows, and can store bedding in a suitcase under my bed.

Have you been peeking in my closets? . That is a great point. I did, in a fit of activity, actually purge some of that stuff a year or so ago, with the exception of...throw pillows. I have an excessive number and I need to just toss them if I am not going to get them to a charity. They're probably too dusty anyway. But speaking of "just in case" stuff in general, I keep too much...of too many things. I've been reading and think I need to clear a room to create the "staging" area in which I can empty the contents of a closet or room to sort, toss and reorganize. Unfortunately, at a peak of my interest in working in my home, I'm about to go out of town for a family function. No, it will be good to visit but I hope I can keep my enthusiasm to continue when I return! Thanks, meryt!!
