We were contacted and asked if we would be willing to post an announcement that the Hoarding: Buried Alive series on TLC is searching for participants for Season Two.
Here are some excerpts from that message:
"My name is Lizzie Turkevich and I'm working on the relatively new show for TLC called Hoarding: Buried Alive. Through therapy and organizing sessions our show helps people with hoarding tendencies. We try to provide the families that we film the tools they need to overcome their disorganization. We actually spend a few months working with families, so the process is very patient and thorough. We provide therapy sessions, organizing sessions, and compensation for participating on the show.
If you know of anyone that would have an interest in our show (either professionals or families), please don't hesitate to pass along my contact information below. In addition, if you come across someone that would like to tell their story, we've set up an e-mail account for them: tlchoarding@gmail.com"
The admins discussed the request to announce this 'call for participants' and here it is. We will sticky this for a week or so, then take it down.

Since they have approached you, would it be appropriate for you to ask on our behalf that they consider putting the past episodes online? Even if they only put a few episodes at a time...
I know there are many people who never got the opportunity to see the show, and we would like to do so. A lot of us get inspiration from what is shown and discussed. Often we let these stories play in the background while we work on challenges around the house.
As someone who is utterly bored with the A and E episodes, it would be a welcome change to the hoarding roster.

I have to 3rd that! It was all here and watching those episodes that had me do my entire home. I watched the episodes then cleaned during the commercials.

Okay, folks. I'll send a 'plea' from interested parties asking them to do just that. Who knows? Maybe it's already planned and in the works.

If you decide to film with Discovery Studios for the hoarding show be sure that you clarify what is important to you. I am in the middle of filming an episode and I have found that the producers tell me one thing and they do another. I am rather pissed at them for being deceptive. Plus they trashtalked me and my son when they thought we wouldn't know - very rude and unprofessional.
I won't go into the details on the open forum but if you are interested to know more about my experiences with them PM me.
The organizer actually has been helpful but she makes decisions about where to put stuff without listening to what I want. I am not sure if it has been worth it to sell my soul to Discovery.

I didn't want to say anything, but I have several friends that have done work for different Discovery networks or on productions for Discovery Studios and while some of them had good work experiences, others told some pretty scary stories about just how duplicitous some of the producers could be. Ratings are always, and will always be, any studio's or network's first concern, unfortunately.

owts. I'm so glad you posted this and am truly sorry that they are disrespecting you and being duplicitous. I hope this will at the very least get you over the proverbial hump so that you can get to the life you want.

I find shows like this exploitative and I am sad that anyone would choose to go on them.
They are not there to help you with your problem, they are there to turn your problem into entertainment for others.
