With so many members needing to take meds, I'm wondering if anyone has come across a wonderful, online med alert. One that would flash and blink and maybe even talk to you, to remind you to take meds. Putting a sign up in our homes isn't the solution while we are still have clutter. It merely becomes more of the clutter background that we ignore.

I use an email reminder to make sure I don't miss a doctor's appointment. It's free. memotome.com Have just added a daily reminder for morning meds. There's no limit to the number you can add and you can request additional reminders if you like. I may go change mine to give me a double prod.

thanx wg. I did google and found that there are places that will call on landline or cell with a recorded message at designated times.
There are many alarm products a person can purchase.... Don't want to do that, but they may be the best solution

thank you misc The phone message service would be perfect, but it seems intrusive even tho it is just a recorded message. It isn't a person so might be ok

If you use Yahoo email, you can set up Yahoo Calendar to email you reminders on a daily or weekly (or even hourly) basis. I use this to remind me of things I need to do every week. No sound though (unless I'm missing something)

I use my cell for doctors appointments and such but not for daily reminders. This would be a great thing to remind me to take my Omeprazole which I don;t take until I get heartburn. But then again I forget to go to the Pharmacy to get it filled! So busy medicating all my patients at work, I forget to take my own med. Many of my coworkers state the same with them. ::: sigh :::

I've been wanting a alarm tool like this, in particular one that made some SOUND. There are a lot out there, but the one I'm trying now is called "WinAlarm". www.snapfiles.com/get/winalarm.html It is simple and might not have everything you want. But it lets you set multiple alarms at any time, any day of the week, and repeating daily/weekly/monthly/yearly. You get just one line for a message. It is brightly colored (but no flashing) and comes with a default sound. But you can change the sound to use any music file (.wav, .mp3) you want. It repeats the sound/alarm unless you tell it not to. If you do use your own sound file, one flaky "feature" is that (at least for me) it doesn't show the name of the file you've chosen. You choose it as you always would, but it just doesn't show the name afterward. But you can try playing it to be sure it is there. Spending time I should have used cleaning, I found a .wav file that plays church bells ringing at noon. It gives me 12 strokes to get one last thing done. (But of course then it starts again) messylife
