Hello to all! I just want to check in on the boards real quick ~ I want to stay on the "roster" here at SOS, and let you know I am still actively desqualoring, which doesn't give me much time to even read, no less post lately.... so I wanted to let you know I am still amongst you!
While I am desqualoring here, and getting many things accomplished, I am also constantly in my mind, composing posts I'd like to write to this board. I am keeping you all here with me as I desqualor, and having 'conversational posts' with you in my head as I go along! I never get a chance to post the things I would like, but even if I don't post, you are still supporting me, because I am projecting my posts, and imagining supportive replies! Isn't that rather weird? I was wondering if anyone else does this, too, or if I am yet again another strange squaloree out here... But either way, it doesn't matter, because, I am getting my real life back again, thanks to you, one way or another!
Meanwhile, please remember me, as I am still out here too, plugging along, even though I am not posting alot ~ I guess I will continue to make pretend "Phantom Posts" in my head until I get a chance to post more real posts. Ultimately, I'd like to hopefully post and encourage others... it's so nice to finally be getting back to normal again! And as I think of all the wonderful, supportive and likewise suffering souls here at SOS, I wish for everyone here, to be able to progress and recover as well! Thank you all, you blessed souls. ....more to come...

Hi Lotus*Blossom! I know exactly what you mean. Between work, de-cluttering, and other real-world responsibilities, I have very little time to post. I, like you, often think of things to post as I'm working on my apartment, but if I stopped to actually put all of them on the board, I would never get anything accomplished! Unfortunately, writing about my clutter doesn't make it go away--it's only going to get better if I work on it. (I really do wish writing about it would make it disappear! ) I will think of you and send you good cleaning vibes as I plow thru the seemingly endless amount of stuff in my home and I hope you'll do the same for me. And when we both finally get finished--and we will!--we can finally sit down and start some of those great threads we thought of while we were cleaning and de-cluttering. Keep up the good work! Supportive cleaning vibes coming your way. . .

well i post a lot, but mostly in response to others.
I also do the phantom post thing though, and did it a lot before when I only had internet at work. I'd get home, and if I cleaned something I'd imagine all the pats on the back I'd get. Its totally motivational.
So happy that you're so busy actively desqualoring!

Me too! I log on a few times a week and have a quick look and think I'd like to read more or reply, but I've been too busy. I just happen to have a day off work today and so time to write this. I'd like to catch up with how people I've previously "met" are getting on and I do think about them often. If I go into the chatroom I might find myself sitting out the challenges and doing more chatting than housework! When motivation's low, I think I might pop into challenge train or join one of the daily lists again. But it's true, the support and the advice (ideas, suggestions, decluttering mantras etc.) do eventually sink in and stay with you. It's a brilliant resource. I think in general I'd get a lot more done if I spent less time looking at the computer screen, but if I need a kickstart I know where to come... Whatever works best for us on the day is the main thing. Good luck to all phantoms working away on their cleaning or clutter! I do have a post in mind (that timeline below needs modifying, because I haven't actually "sorted it all out" yet) but in the meantime - I am actually getting rid of some stuff (slowly)! Hazel (another Phantom Poster)

Hi lotus*blossom! Great to hear from you! YES, I absolutely create posts in my head or have a running dialogue with SOOSers while I am desqualoring. I have no internet at home, so there is a time gap between the desqualoring work and any posting I do. The imaginings do help support me and make me feel a part of a team. I also think of those "lurkers" who have yet to step forward to introduce themselves and share their struggles. I don't know why, but I think of them a lot and have those "conversational posts" with those folks too. Thanks for taking the time to let us know how you are doing. I I will absolutely remember you, as you say, "plugging along" -- look forward to hearing more about your challenges and successes when you are at a place/ time where you are able to post more.

Greetings Lotus Blossom You wrote the words right out of my head..You all have become such a big support for me and many times during the day the wonderful words of encouragement come back. I use the hints and suggestions and share the laughs and the tears. My day isn't complete until I check in on everybody..so even if you don't see my posts, I'm holding you all in my heart, my thoughts and my prayers.. Thanks.

I do this all the time! Mostly while trying to make decisions about things, I try to keep in mind the collective voices of the group, giving me amnesty or asking if I love it, when was the last time I used it, etc. One thing from years ago in chat that really stands out, I was asking for ideas for something to start on, and Misc asked me what I could see from my chair that was bugging me right now- so I got up and washed the dog bed I still think of that when I`m trying to find a starting place. Good to see you!

! I do that all the time! Not just here (I'm new here but I do compose posts and such in my head a lot and never post them) but with other groups I'm on and with friends I IM with. I'll have imaginary conversations in my head with internet friends or groups while I'm doing things. I used to think I was crazy for it, but I decided that as long as I didn't think I was actually talking to them, I was ok ;-)

Most definitely - my 'net time has decreased quite a bit, so I'm always composing mental posts! And talking to people who aren't there, but that may be another issue for another board...

thank you all for letting me know I am not a demented desqualorer...
I don't have time to read much right now... which is a good thing in the desqualoring aspect, but I also miss reading, and would like to post some things a bit more, too.
But, nice to know there are many more Phantom Posters here! I shall keep you all in mind as I go along... and I'll be back with more success to report...
I am now in the process of purging surplus clothing... so I will be asking all the pertinent questions in my head... and know that I am receiving Phantom Cheers for each piece I discard! ...thank you fellow phantoms!
