So the menfolk are walking in the door after a week away, and Sean (6) says, "It's cleaner!" And Colin said to them, "Mommy's been working!"

I love it! not jsut that they noticed but that they don't think it got cleaner without mommy's effort. that's major. I don't think I made the conenction until I was....DIK, but at least in my teens if not 20's.

Four things to warm your heart all at once: Sean gets home safely. Alex gets home safely. Colin gets home safely. They noticed your hard work immediately. And I agree with Pepe... a whoot-whoot is in order! "Whoot-whoot!"Well done, Miscy!

Thanks, guys. It made my chest puff up with both pride and overwhelming love. I love it! not jsut that they noticed but that they don't think it got cleaner without mommy's effort. that's major. I don't think I made the conenction until I was....DIK, but at least in my teens if not 20's. Once, when Alex was about 3, I got on a manic streak and was outside furiously straightening up and sweeping off the porch. He stood on the other side of the storm door yelling, "Yay, Mommy! Kween, Mommy! Kween!" I'll never forget that.

My friend's son (maybe age 4) came to my house one day (with my friend) looked around and said "It's so dirty." Embarassing, but I enjoyed her visit anyway.
