This is a chart mapping out my hoarding thought process, according to Dr. Dia's observances (and he's spent a good little bit of time in the house with us, so he knows firsthand what it's like here.) I think this is terribly interesting, and not just because it's my own chart. I wish all of us could have such a thing. I need to print it out again and tape it to the wall of every room in the house. I'm thinking that keeping this chart fresh in my mind would help me curb my "stinkin' thinkin'" Do you think that using this as a template of sorts, that you could map out some of your thought processes as well? Dear MiSC,
Thank you for sharing this. I will have to think about it.
It could even prove useful just to ask those around us to tell us what excuses to keep things they hear us using, and write those out and keep them where we can see them.

That's cool. I like how it shows you WHERE those thoughts come from , as far as the poor memory and poor visual processing. I have those issues too, so I totally get it.

My first thought was, 'putting it up on the wall in every room will increase the clutter factor and you are less likely to see it, read it, or act on it.'

That's cool. I like how it shows you WHERE those thoughts come from , as far as the poor memory and poor visual processing. I have those issues too, so I totally get it. Some, not all, but some of my memory troubles come from one of my meds. We lowered the dosage a couple of months ago, but I'm still forgetting how to spell. I used to pride myself on my spelling, but I have to look things up constantly now. And it's on very common words. I got stuck on "miserable" the other day. Had to look it up. I may not use that word every day, but it's still a very common one, you know? My pdoc lowered the dose by a full third when I was in her office last, and I know why. I bet I lost my place in my speaking at least 7 or 8 times, and I was only in there for 15 minutes. I was just reporting what was going on, but I kept veering off track and couldn't figure out where I'd left off. I do that kind of thing a lot, but the lower dosage is helping. The spelling is still off, but I'm not afraid anymore that I'll forget what time to pick the kids up, or what a red light means, or anything serious like that.
