Can anyone give me some hints at removing grease stains from light colored jeans that have already been washed and dried? My BF have some tan jeans that he didn't treat the stains before he washed and dried them. I would like to save them since they are still in great condition. Thanks for your help.

Dawn dishwashing liquid- coat stains- let soak in- rinse well- hang dry. Good luck-- this has worked on many fabric stains for me.

If you don't have Dawn dish soap, you can use hair shampoo. Leave it in for 15 minutes before putting in the washing machine, then wash as usual.
But because it has already been washed and dried, I'd try rubbing alcohol first. Pour it straight on the stain & brush or let sit in the alcohol for a while before washing.

Former eBay high end used childrens' clothing seller--for grease that has already been washed and dried, the following steps:
1. First lay the item out and get some corn starch. Put it liberally on the grease spot. Let it sit for 4-24 hours (longer for thicker materials)
2. Then get Liquid Biz and put on top of the corn starch over the grease stains. Let sit 24 hours or more
3. Wash as normal, cool water the whole way. Use a strong laundry detergent like Tide.
4. Air dry
5. If that significantly reduces the stain, repeat the whole procedure. If it doesn't reduce it much OR if the repeat doesn't get item cleaned up sufficiently go to step 6.
6. Diet coke. Soak the stain, scrub softly with a soft brush. Douse it with a whole liter bottle if need be. Then put on the Liquid Biz and launder.
Also wanted to note that I've successfully used CitraSolv to remove dirty motor oil from a delicate white cotton dress. This was a case where the motor oil had never had a chance to soak in though--once it was on the dress I immediately treated it with the CitraSolv.

I agree with the dawn dish soap--- it may take more than one treatment but don"t dry in deryer between the washes and I have heard good things about Biz - I managed to revive Ashley"s work tops this way--
