Alex just went under my desk to clear out a lot of magazines and junk mail that was hiding in a corner I couldn't get too. (It's pretty clean under there now, so it was okay.) I'd have been lying on the floor for a week if I'd tried to get back there.
Short people do come in handy. Why didn't I think of that in my 30s?

Very true. On the other hand, I sure do like how handy tall people can be at times, too. Reaching those unreachable-to-me-without-a-ladder places.

I am tall and have no munchkins to do my bidding under things...gotta get down on floor...like today had to light the pilot light on the hot water heater they forgot to light...had to get on floor and do it...on knees...shoes got dirty and wet toes from leaks in basement.

I miss my son! He is the one that plugs my cell phone charger in behind the bookcase so that I can keep it plugged in AND close to my bed! Its been a big challenge since he left.  |
