I have new carpeting in the new house and of course there are spots already from spills and stuff so I wanted a cheap and easy way to clean these spots...especially right where I spilled iced tea at the front door. I got a $3off coupon in mailer for the Woolite Rug Stick...it is a handle and kind of mop head thingie that assembled easy it comes with a small can of the foam cleaner for heavy traffic areas on rugs...you assemble the handle insert the can after shaking it and then open the locking mechanism that is flippy switch on front of head unit....it then sprays foam when you press down and pull backward or move forwards with the head...then you turn over the head and use the brush side to grind it into the carpets...it did suggest grinding from different directions for best results...which helped on second attempt to clean spots at doorway...it also suggested secondary attempts may be needed.
For the small area I needed it was not too bad...if you had a 12X12 carpet to do it might be labor to get it spread around and scrubbed into carpeting....then you vacuum the dry area and it comes right out...the spots on second attempt were gone from my tea spill. I give it four of five stars on the leprechaun scale....
