I'm nervous, never discussed this outside my main family before these boards are nonsearchable by google and other spiders, right?

- Hi and welcome!
I recommend using a username that isn't familiar to anyone you know in real life. If you need to, you can always re-join under a new name.
It would seem that posts are potentially google-able.
So tell as much as you can -- so that we can give one another advice.
But change some of the details -- so that you won't be recognized by anyone you know in real life. _

WELCOME!! Tramseyer!! Frankly I wouldn't worry about anyone finding out your ID....unless you print out your address or real name nobody is going to take the time to try and figure out who you really are. And even then they'd only be guessing....unless they get your IP address and have access to your IP accounts, but most people aren't going to be able to get that so really, don't worry about it!! I live in Florida, my real life first name is Barb, the area I live in has over a million people in it, good luck with that, you know?? If anyone can figure out who I am you can come to my house and I'll give you the grand tour....only cost you $50....bargain I tell you, a bargain!!!

Welcome, Tramseyer. We are glad to have you here under whatever name you decide to use. I don't think people can figure out who we are without jumping through a whole lot of hoops, unless of course you give out your real name, address, etc. Anyway, welcome and feel free to share with us.
