Hi Diane -- I really like how you organize your list! I myself find that I do the "miscellaneous" things more consistently than the routine -- if that makes sense. But with a good reminder list -- that always helps. I hope your day is good -- I can't believe it's already Thursday.

Good morning Chris! Wow, I can't believe I never even came back and checked off the things I did yesterday. I didn't do much, I got majorly distracted with something yesterday--but I did do a second load of laundry. I decided I wanted to try washing my winter coat. I just bought it this year, and it's very warm even though it's light, it almost crinkles when I move so I figured there was some kind of insulating material inside and I was afraid to wash it. But after 3 months of wearing it while dog walking it really needed to be cleaned, and I'm not the kind of person to wear things that need to be dry cleaned, so I figured I'd see what happened. Well, it washed beautifully, and it looks and smells a lot better! I also did some general decluttering and book stuff, but not much of what was on my list. I'll make a better effort to work on my list stuff today. Diane

Chris--I did about half my dishes in between my morning walk and my afternoon one, but haven't done any more since coming home from my afternoon walk. I'm going to do more now, thanks for the nudge! Diane

I'm going to try to get to bed at 10 tonight, I've got to break the habit of staying up late. So I'm going to start my end of day stuff now, if I still have time I'll do something else from my list.

Thank you Chris, it did feel good to get them done. Now I have to not let them build up so much. It would help a lot if my kitchen sink was working--carrying water around to wash and rinsing in the bathroom sink is a huge pain!
I can't believe it's almost 4:30 and I haven't made my list yet!
I will make one now.

I tried to post here this morning but couldn't get on SOS, it was unavailable for at least a couple of hours. I was hoping to do another weekend project of decluttering but since the weekend is about a third of the way over (if you count Friday night) I guess it would be silly to start a thread now.
I'm going to eat lunch and read for a little bit and then hopefully start working, if I don't fall asleep on the couch!

I'm sorry you couldn't get on the board. That really throws me off when it happens. I am also stuck about vacuuming my living room so I am going to make a special effort today to do it. First I have to sweep the wood floor part of the cardboard particles from the cat scratcher thingy then get the vacuum out (it's in the closet right next to the living room). It will make me feel better when it's done. I'll try to remember to post when I've done it. Maybe we can encourage each other.

Good morning Chris, and yes, let's make a special effort to vacuum today. I'm trying my cleaning list in a different way, to just add the next item on the list to my daily list and then if I don't do it keep moving it forward. It was working pretty well the first couple of weeks because I felt like it was process instead of a project that would be considered a failure if I got behind. But the vacuum LR has been lingering for a long time. I still like this way better, at least I have a hope of doing some cleaning.
I had planned on volunteer work this morning but last night got two last minute dog walks for today. Since my feet have been hurting a lot lately, and it's raining, I decided not to volunteer. I'm so lucky that they have absolutely no schedule, it's one of the few volunteer positions where you can just go in whenever you want and there's something to do!
I believe I will think of the LR vacuuming as broken down into steps, I'll be more likely to get it done today. I actually don't have any rugs, when I vacuum a room, it means the edges, baseboards, around the furniture, the books on the bookshelves (and you know I have plenty of those!) etc. So it's more annoying than just vacuuming a rug.
I'll be back with a report by mid-afternoon.

Well, I see the downside to doing my cleaning list this way, I had set it up so that rooms were grouped together, so I would sweep an area one day, vacuum the next, mop the next. It's been so long since the prior step I felt like I had to sweep the LR again, then swept the 2 adjoining rooms since that was easy. I guess it wouldn't be an issue if I didn't wait a week between steps! I also vacuumed the bookshelves and the upper parts of the room, I still have to do the floor area. But, half way done. Diane
