Good morning, CanDo. Finally, I awoke earlier again. I am hoping this indicates the turn-around in my sleep patterns again. I really prefer early awakening rather than later. Yesterday I did a load of laundry, took out the trash, went shopping, cooked a meal & did the dishes. Today I will try and do the same, minus the shopping. eagle's Monday morning wake-up routine: face, eyes, teeth put on the coffee took the recycle out to the curb for pick-up returned recycle container to it's home after pick-up vitamins, apple, breakfast took car in for repair (I'll be without a car for a few days) cleaned the blackness (mold) off the pull-out drawer of the washer where I put the laundry soap & fabric softener wrap/package granddaughter's birthday gift for mailing laundry: load of darks in washer dishes Yoga & seated twists shower, dress, make-up Chiropracter appt. time outdoors: listening to bird song, squirrel chatter, & crickets, enjoying the cloud formations and the comfortably warmish air write To Do list for restaurant office ate salad (in a wrap) for lunch break from restaurant ate dinner (leftovers at home)

Hi Y'all. I've been very busy this morning and only just now getting to posting, but I am behind in what I need to do today...
Eagle--Glad you awoke earlier and looks like your old early pattern is returning. I love to get us early, the trick is getting to bed early enough though so that I can...
Annie--So exciting!!! Being engaged & your fiance having the talk with your kids. Let us know how it goes. BTW, can you crack the whip on my son, too? I told him that he needs to cut the yard, again, and he asked me if Wednesday would be okay.
Today's tadas: 1)Woke up 6:40am & gave DD meds...she is feeling sick today... No fever, thank goodness. 2)made her scrambled eggs for breakfast 3)took her to school 4)took DH's clothes & DD's Band uniform to cleaners 5)emptied kitchen trash, sprayed can & replaced bag 6)swiped top of toilet tank, between tank & seat & swiped the seat. 7)swiped sink in back bathroom & counter (just 2 swipes) 8)emptied back bathroom trash 9)emptied my bedroom trash 10)emptied front bathroom trash 11)emptied office trash 12)emptied den trash 13)took 9 boxes to outside can to be recycled & pushed can out for pick up. 14)took 4 bags of trash to outside can & pushed can out for pick up. 15)took 2 bags of recyclabe bottles/cans & 1 great big bag of paper type recycling to outside can 16)took DS to school 17)got kids to sign Father-N-Law's b-day card 18)Looked over a few bills-- not due yet, and not paying today. 19)went grocery shopping 20)spoke with Boy Scout Troop Scoutmaster...long phone call while at Grocery store... re: Court of Honor. 21)put ALL groceries away! Yay, me! I remember when I used to let the bags sit around my kitchen floor for weeks, sometimes longer... I mean, I'd get the cold stuff put away and leave the rest. This is something that Squalor Survivors helped cure me of. 22)ate lunch-- today first day dieting and I didn't mean to wait so late to eat...did have part of an apple & a glass of water so far today. Ate a salad with chicken on it. 23)put load of laundry in washer 24)went thru 3/4s of the stack of paper that I have on one of my kitchen chairs... I am looking for tax papers as DH & I will do our taxes today. So, may not go thru and get rid of much as we are in a hurry to get this done and I am behind with my time today. (This stack was over two feet high!). I've found most everything we need... not sure if there is more to find or not... I'm guessing, yes. 25)picked up DS from school 26)put b-day card in the mailbox at post office (I know, won't pick up until tomorrow due to holiday). 27) tossed 2 jars of pickles... that have been in there for months. REally only just barely past the expiration date...but having been opened and just sitting in there with just 2 pickles in one jar & 2 1/2 in the other jar. No one has touched these in months. Same brand except one was spears & the other just small whole pickles. So, might not have been nasty, but certainly taking up space. -- This was per UdderChaos's challenge. 28) tossed 1 zip bag with sliced bananas that was brown has been sitting in my freezer for a couple months. They were supposed to be used in a shake, but "brown" bananas? Not me! -- This was per UdderChaos's challenge 29)finished going thru that stack of papers that was 2 feet high, looking for papers for doing our 2007 taxes. I found a lot of them, don't know if there's any more somewhere else or not. That stack is now only about1 foot high. Definitely progress... I did toss a few things... Like a few pieces of the wall in the hallway. DS hit it and made a whole in it, so had put a few pieces in a little zip bag so we could take it & match the paint. He fixed the hole months ago!!! Also, have a grocery bag half full of papers to put in recycle can. This was without reallly going through the stack...just a quick looksie as I was looking for the tax papers. Oldest thing I tossed was a little over a year old! 30)picked up DD from Marching Band practise
31)changed clothes & went to do volunteer work. Working Concession stand for fundraiser for DD's Marching Band. 32)got dishes soaking 33)Put Load in washer 34)folded Load of laundry 35)put Load away 36)put away hand-washed stuff from drainboard & refiledl ice cube tray 37)unloaded dishwasher 38)washed dishes, pots, etc. 39) emptied kitchen trash, sprayed can & replaced bag 40)folded/hang Load #1 41)put that load away
Back to it! CD

Celeste--Welcome!!! I've really missed reading your blog type posts that you wrote on the old website. Is your Mom still living with you? I've been wondering how you and she are doing... Can you give your Mom a hug from an internet friend? Or will that confuse her?
Annie=Glad the talk went well. Sweet Dreams.

My main goal this evening was to find the new charge card that had been issued to me. It came a couple of weeks ago and I just put it in the mail pile. I separated items in the pile as to bank statements, checks and continued working until I found my card - relief.

Cando, I'm so impressed with the amount of paperwork you've gone through lately! Wow. I hate doing my own -- and the irony is that I must do Mom and Dad's now too. Your hard work gives me an example. Mother is still with us, although she is moving into Assisted Living next Monday, on October 20th. She's so frail that it is no longer safe for her at home, even with my father and I in the same house. The admittance date hit us rather suddenly, so we're scrambling to get all the paperwork done for the facility, our insurance company and our lawyer. Fortunately, we all agree the move is for the best, including Mom. As hard as it is to see her go with her acceptance, I can only imagine how painful it would be for those with unwilling parents. Once the paperwork is done, I need to work on the packing and furniture selection. There are a lot of decisions to make in a hurry. I'll give Mother a hug from you. She understands I have online friends that worry about her and she finds it very flattering. Thanks in advance! I am posting my blog on LiveJournal these days, but it is restricted to those with LJ accounts that I know. If you ever sign up, let me know. Eagle, you massacred that lengthy list! Well done! I love your time outdoors. I may need to borrow that one. Annieokie, nice job reducing a massive list! Mothers amaze me. I don't know how people manage to clean and keep their kids going. Hopefully, your older son's luck will run out and that yard will get mowed soon! fluffychild, good work finding the missing credit card! Looking for something that size in a pile of mail can be like finding a needle in a haystack. Need to go to bed. Doesn't look like my website update is going to happen tonight. Hopefully I'll get to it tomorrow.

Celeste--I'm sorry to hear about your Mom being so frail and moving her into Assisted Living. You have been such a wonderful daughter. I can't imagine how hard this has been for you. I mean, I know you love her, but it still must be hard taking care of your Mom. And, I'm sure its been hard on your Dad, too. I hope she likes the new digs... All those decisions sound difficult, but just try to use the KISS principle whenever possible and all you can do is your best, right? YOu are such a wonderful person, Celeste. BTW, I do have a LJ account. I think my name over there is Gettinthingsdone or is it Gettinthingsdun (?) I forget and its so late I can't think right now... FluffyChild--I'm so happy you found it!!! Hopefully I'll get to it tomorrow. Celeste, you may borrow anything you like. I particularly like your new checkmarks. May I borrow? borrowed Celeste's checkmark wrap presents for granddaughter to mail I left one thing for 'tomorrow' too. No pressure. I like ToDo lists, and love that I can refer back to them to see what still needs doing.

BTW, I do have a LJ account. I think my name over there is Gettinthingsdone or is it Gettinthingsdun (?) I forget and its so late I can't think right now... I'm pm-ing you with my LJ name. Feel free to add me as a friend. I'll add you right back, however you spell "done"! Like I said, at the moment my blog isn't caught up, but I'll get back to it soon, I'm sure. I particularly like your new checkmarks. May I borrow? As someone said recently, "you may borrow anything you like".
