Thanks Diane. I seem to just get lost here in this mess of stuff and people. !! I had 1 week off from work and of course in my mind I told myself I was going to do this and that. There was minimal work done, but plenty of time to play with the kids and actually sleep too. Then I returned to an 8 day work week. I did get a weekend but it seems like that slipped away so fast too. I need to go get the sheets changed and try to manage some of the laundry in my room. I need to find clothes for tomorrow for starters. And towels for shower. How are you doing Diane?

After a long work week and just today off, I really just sat around all day. I have felt so physically tired. I get up to do something and just have no energy. I need to at the very least make sure everyone has a place to sleep tonight (looks like my son tore everything off my bed so a good time to get some clean bedding) and I am not sure what I have washed that will be ready to wear tomorrow. Also need to think about food stuff for tomorrow. Sunday Evening Wish ListUnload Dishwasher & load evening dirties in Empty desk trash cans (all others emptied yesterday) Put clean sheets on my bed Work on Mt. Laundry Kids
Feed (after I am done making this list) Bathe Prep for MondayBake muffins (6 week muffin batter is in fridge already) Pack lunch --- salad, fruit & sandwich Prepare enchiladas for Monday evening dinner (meat is cooked .... shred cheese and wrap up tortillas) Coffee ready - water filled, find clean coffee travel mug Find clothes to wear (after washing?) Find birthday card for co-worker (or make if I don't like any of the ones I already have) Make post it note cover for co-worker bday (quick and easy)

Worked 6 days this week. Was set to have Saturday - Tuesday off. But alas once again I have to go in on Sunday to cover. Love having to go in on a day that was already approved as vacation. *sigh* I am crossing my fingers tomorrow is as easy as this last Sunday. Well our family is taking off Monday to go up North to visit my sister and just have one little out of town get away before the kids start school. Wow ... just 2.5 weeks away! We are doing just one night away. I have my oldest daughter and her boyfriend staying at the house with my special needs daughter. After our horrific Spring Break trip, we are not going to upset her and drag her along on this one. It's not worth upsetting her and really everyone else. But of course now I have so much to do to get us ready (clean clothes to pack) and want the house somewhat decent so they don't have to stay in squalor while they are here. (I know it's not that bad, but in some areas it's really bad.) I am going to make a TO DO a little bit later. For now I am going to post my morning TA DA's. After sitting at the computer for 2 hours, I got up and got 30 minutes of work done.
TA DA - Saturday Wake K - to bath & wash her hair Strip K's bed Pull K's bed out from wall & pick up food stuff she has tossed back there along with cup & bowl (think old chicken nuggets and sandwich crusts. Oh I wish we could get across the message "No food in your room.") Start K's bedding in washing machine Gather any random dishes, cups, etc from living room Unload dishwasher, load & run Empty kitchen trash Empty kitchen recycle - 3 bags worth of cans, bottles and boxes Remove all boxes for recycling from porch and pizza boxes to trash Empty bathroom trash

Here is it Saturday evening. I did a a little toy pick up and dishes again. And then just kept people fed and happy. Guess not making a TO DO really backfires sometimes. TO DO TONIGHTSofa cushions back on sofas - 1 sofa put back ... son is laying on others on floor Swap laundry again Fold & put away towels when dry Gather dinner dishes - middle kid help Unload dishwasher & load Teach middle kid how to use a broom - assist her in sweeping up large visible stuff from kitchen floor (lotttts of dumped cereal around the cabinets from my mess makers) *It's not super clean, but way better. I still felt small bits of whatnot when I walked thru barefoot.Put away all misc plastic containers on kitchen counter (hubby seems to be lost on where to put them but he takes them out of the cupboards just fine) Plastic & glass bottles from kitchen counter into recycle Find clothes for tomorrow Fold/Hang & put away 3 loads clean clothes Check machines --- swap

Hi MamaAngie. I hope your extra work day today goes really smoothly, and that you have a great time away! You certainly deserve it. You are accomplishing a lot, even though it doesn't always feel that way.

Thanks. In true form, working for the newspaper, there has to be a few hiccups on Sunday morning. But it wasn't the worse Sunday I worked. It was slow enough that I managed to stay off the phones mostly from 8:00 am to 10:00 .... leaving most customer calls to my co-workers while I caught up on some accounting stuff for my boss and also dispatched complaints to our drivers. It gets busy trying to keep in contact with some of the managers as it's obvious when certain carriers are not done delivering. I am happy to be off the next 2 days. I even got some scheduling stuff worked out with a co-worker for September. Hope you are having a nice Sunday hollyhock. Sunday TA DA'sWork at the Happiest Place on Earth Rotate Laundry Nap Unload Dishwasher/Load dirties in enter receipts in checkbook/balance pay a couple bills Other 's Hubby vacuumed living room 8 yo took out all trash/recycle - some complaining but she earned a couple bucks 8 yo picked up all toys from living room floor so hubby could vacuum

Well 4 hours later and not a lot to show for myself.
Ta Da's Fold & put away load clean towels Fold & put away 2 sets clean sheets Swap laundry Cat food and water filled
Then as I went to type this, my keyboard went wonky. Got side tracked and played games on computer. Then was dealing with trying to get money to my oldest daughter who was stranded with a broken down car 15-20 miles from home. Of course my keyboard was whacked and I forgot, so that got me locked out of my bank account as I was trying to enter my password but forgot that my keyboard was adding an extra digit or character. Get my mom and got her finally straightened out as to which account is my daughter's since she has about 4 or 5 of us listed in all her accounts she can transfer to. So that means one more thing to add to my list tomorrow. Call bank and unlock my account and transfer money to my mom since she gave to my daughter and I said I would. *sigh* Oh and we need to go pick up my daughter to bring her here to sit with her sister while we go out of town. Oh and call the doctors office and see if they'll prescribe some ointment for conjunctivitis for my daughter with special needs that is staying home. Oh yeah!! I can see that we're not getting out of town on time.
Sunday Night TO DO
Fold/Hang & put away 2 loads clothes Start gathering clothes for packing Make shopping list Make daughter's bed Make our bed (son stripped it while "playing" in there) Bathe 2 kids
Monday AM TO DO
Litter box Pick up dirty laundry in daughter's room Sweep daughter's floor Change bedding on daughter's bed Wash daughter's bedding Clean sheets on our bed (so daughter & boyfriend can sleep there) Vacuum hallway Pick up some toys

Oh yes it's so crazy Diane. Having to go to work today really threw a wrench in my plan. Then of course all the silly things with the kids. I wish hubby wasn't at work right now. As it is, it's 9 pm and I am not sure when I am sleeping or getting the monsters to bed. The kiddo that is not going with us has pink eye I see as she woke from a long afternoon nap. So she's going to be up late. She's my late night kitchen prowler. We are having issues with her getting into things, leaving the fridge and freezer open. It's so exhausting.
I glanced at your post and see you had a very productive day. WTG!!
I am happy to go, even if it's just one night. My youngest sister lives outside of Seattle. I love her so much and miss her terribly. We will finally get to meet her "puppy" who is probably going to intimidate my children by his height as he is a Great Dane. We pretty much planned the trip just to see her. The last time I saw her was about an hour or so she stopped in to see me while she was here for a funeral a couple months ago.
