Hi, I just got back on after a long while away. I logged in just fine with my same email and login info and password... however it now says that I am a new member, though my date of signing up still shows 2010... how can that be? Just curious.
I was trying to get back into Chat (my favorite place to go and get support and inspiration) but am having problems due to a Java problem I guess. I tried a post in a thread about that on here also.
That's my questions for now. I'm glad to be back.... I'm trying again to get back out of my squalor and climb that hill out. It is a constant process of up and down with me. Would love to renew the old friendship I had on here. Dieverdog

Well I used to post a LOT so I still don't think new member would be accurate. It's like it's got selective memory or something.

Do you remember about how many posts you had, dieverdog?

Oh, my gosh, I used to get on so much - I've even found some of my old posts on here still when poking around. I'm sure it was probably near a hundred at any rate over the several years I'd been on.

It's not a big deal, other than I want to be sure people who used to be here ages ago will realize I'm the same person who used to be here a long while back if they recognize my name - and the "new member" status won't confuse them. That's all, really.

Under your avatar on your posts it says you have 96 posts. Another 4 posts and you'll have the "Member" ranking!
You should be able to read all your posts if you go to your profile and click 'View the member's recent posts'. By going through the pages, it should go back to your first post in 2010.
Sorry about the chat room. Java has had major problems over the last year or so. There is a security vulnerability in it the company won't fully address. The major browsers have taken the stance of allowing people to use it only with lots of warnings first. Computer makers also have adjusted. Apple seems the toughest. I don't have a Mac, so I'm not sure what you have to do to tell your Mac you still want in the chat room.
Greg, our AddonChat Support tech, has been telling us that AddonChat is looking to get away from Java late this year or early next year. We'll keep our fingers crossed.

I wanted to do a quick update... I finally got on the chat! YAY! I"m not quite sure what changed but I finally kept downloading and installing whatever would work and would let me ... and it finally let me get into the chat. I hope it keeps working, it was so fun to see a few old friends and have a few laughs again. Thanks for trying to help!

Thank goodness! And your next post will up your ranking to member... so you are back where you belong.
