On our way to the laundromat... Seems like no matter how much we do, there is always 3 or 4 hampers full to do within a week!!

Washed 3 hampers and 1 basket of clothes at the laundromat this morning, and got them all dried at home in the dryer (a bit at a time of course). Folded them all except dd's basket of clothes that are still sitting in the dryer. Also folded 2 hampers and 2 baskets of laundry from the last few times we washed clothes. Packed away a lot of the boys' clean clothes, and will do the rest in the next couple of days so we won't get so overwhelmed again!!

Hand washed and hung to dry some clothes that dd requested to be washed for her trip to her aunt's house. She will be gone for 5 days. I also hand washed some work clothes for tomorrow.

gillian, it doesn't take long for them to pile up with a family of 7, but with the backlog finally done, everything will be easier to go through so we can downsize the amount of clothes we all have... I have regularly been weeding out the baby clothes that are too small for dd2 (almost 8 months old), and sending them to my cousin who has twin girls that are 2 months old. They appreciate the extra clothes, and it gets them out of the way. Washed 3 huge loads at the laundromat and brought them home to dry. Have dried, folded, and put away 2 loads already, and trying to fold as they come out, to keep them from piling up. Goodness me, redsalem, I'm surprised you manage to escape from the laundry room with all those people to wash for . It's good you can pass baby clothes on to your cousin - good baby timing . Gillian

Wtg still and cando!!! I am hoping to get some laundry done today at the laundromat, but Sundays are bad days there. Usually really busy. Wish me luck!! I remember laundry mat days - I do wish you luck. Humid, uncomfortable and boring. It's nice if you can get every load into a machine at once but if you have to hang around longer because there aren't enough machines available it's even more of a dreaded chore. Here's hoping you can get everything done without waiting

It was packed when we got there, so we will try again later... we only use the washers, so we don't have to hang around very long. We dry everything at home. While waiting to head back, I'm going to hand wash the baby's clothes because there isn't much for her.

Done at the laundromat, wasn't nearly as busy when we went back, and my sister was there with her 2 boys, so bonus! The boys got to visit while us grown ups loaded the washers and talked a bit. She was still there when we left, as she uses the dryers too, whereas we just needed to wash our stuff... Now home to dry and start folding!!!
