Hi razy! I bet you're in bed already over in your part of the world but it looks like you did a great job today! Ta Da's from yesterday -Took movies back to store. -Returned garbage can to side of house after trash pickup. -Took an hour long nap in my quiet house. -Went to football game and watched son march. -Long story kind of short.....I went through a TON of clothes this weekend that I had saved from older son for younger son. I had waited so long that he had outgrown half of them. Younger son has a friend who is much smaller than him and I called his mom and asked if she wanted the clothes. I bagged them up and sent them with the ex last night (this friend was spending the night with younger son at ex's house and I saw them at the football game). So now I am free of one garbage-bagful of clothes that someone else will be able to use! Ta Da's for today -Up, shower, meds, ready for work. -Made bed. -Meds to dog. -Breakfast. Found a mouse pooh in my bedroom...... Don't know if it was from last year or this year. I was hoping I had gotten rid of them. I may put out some poison and leave my dog at fiance's this weekend. To Do's -Pay bills. -Load up stuff to go to fiance's for the weekend. -Possibly call vet about dog. I will try to check in over the weekend. I don't get online much when I am not home, but I feel like this place helps me stay focused on what I need to be doing. Thanks for being here everyone!

Hi Razy, Annie & Eagle. Razy-- Oh, how I wish that I could go to the beach. I think I was born a beach bum, but rarely, if ever, get to go to the beach. I truly feel free at an uncrowded beach.
Annie-- Woo Hoo! on getting a whole bag of clothes out of your home!!!!!!!
Eagle--Did you see my post yesterday in answer to your question about walking and then on the post that had my list about the bird that I saw? I still have to find a picture of that bird.
Tadas: 1)emptied kitchen trash, sprayed can & replaced bag 2)cleaned up a little dog yak 3)took DD to Marching Band practise...no school today due to Parent/Teacher conferences but she had an extra practise.. 4)paid water bill in person...it was due today. No Late Fee, Yay!!! 5)dressed2shoes earlier 6)cleaned up big dog yak... not sure how to get the green out of the carpet...my older dog has been eating grass... Hmmm. 7)picked up DD from Marching Band Practise 8)took DS to Engineering/Robotics meeting 9)had puppy with us so went to Vet's office...didn't want to see the vet that was doing most of the "walk-ins" & the other one was in surgeries. The other vets were out of town. So, scheduled an appointment for later today 10)showered2shoes, brushed teeth, blow-dried hair--yucky clothes since dealing with puppy later. Will change again, later.
11)made nice salad for DD and self for lunch with homemade thousand island dressing 12)took DD to 2nd Marching Band practise & from there she will be taking school bus to football game & I'll pick her up about 11:30pm 13)took puppy to vet... Scheduled for Rabies & Distemper shots, but after talking a little with Dr. about her laying around alot at Doggie Daycare & laying around often here, and a few other things. She said that Nova looked good, her teeth & gums & inside her ears, etc. But when she felt her, she thought she felt hot. So she took her temperature & she has a low grade fever. So, she gave her anti-biotics & anti-in flaamatory. 14)piced up DS from Engineering/Robotics meeting 15)gave puppy one of the meds. 16)went to football game, mainly so I could watch the band. Great, award winning band, but crummy football team this year. 17)moved load of laundry into dryer 18)put another load in the washer 19)earlier got dishes soaking 20)picked up DD at 11:30pm from her high school
Back to it! CD

I saw the first, but missed about the bird. I'll go back and take a look for the bird reference. I understand about feeling safe vs. unsafe. We're in a town where I feel completely safe. But I've also remember walking in an area of the town where I grew up (later as an adult) and thinking I'd better high-tail it out of there before I got raped. I told my brother about it & he said it was about the most unsafe section of town for a woman to walk alone. He said my instincts to get out quick were right on. So, I say, 'Trust your instincts.'

I'm late, but persistent. Does that count? Go outside and enjoy the autumn I got out, but it was raining. Bleh! Continue to iron name labels onto Mother's underwear (slips), blouses, slacks, dresses POA paperwork came in the mail. Hurray! Took items over to Mom's apartment Helped Dad put together my table and a lamp for Mother Help Dad put together a new bookcase for Mom (Started. He got tired.) Got shelf-liner on shelves above the sink (Note to self: need to buy more shelf-liner.) Made welcome sign for Mom's place (Each room has a small display shelf outside their door that they can decorate.)Razy, good work on getting the laundry washed, folded and put away! Hurray! Incidentally, your walk on the beach with the dog sounds lovely. So peaceful. annieokie, the fact that you not only got rid of a whole bag of unneeded clothing, you also found someone who could use them is a major achievement. Atta girl! Recycling is beneficial for everyone. Have a great weekend with your fiance! pick up my car (I think it is supposed to be ready today) You're stronger than you look, Earlene! Seriously, good work getting more items donated. Do you have a plan for introducing recycling at the restaurant? Cando, I hope the puppy is okay. Sick puppies are always worrisome. Good going on getting the water bill paid on time! I hope to get some rest this evening. Tomorrow is going to be a big day.

Hi Celeste. Persistent definitely counts!! In fact, that is what I've been trying to do for the last few months is to post on this thread. Looks like you done good puttin' labels in Mom's clothes, assembling table & lamp, working on building of bookshelves or case, & putting shelf liner on shelves. Woo Hoo! Thanks for good wishes for puppy. She is actually a year and a half, but still acts like a puppy. Scheduled for Rabies & Distemper shots, but after talking a little with Dr. about her laying around a lot at Doggie Daycare & laying around often here, and a few other things. She said that Nova looked good, her teeth & gums & inside her ears, etc. But when she felt her, she thought she felt hot. So she took her temperature & she has a low grade fever. So, she gave her anti-biotics & anti-in flammatory. CD

Cando, I still call my seventeen year-old cats "kittens", so I have no trouble calling Nova a puppy at a year and a half! (By the way, my cousin named her dog Nova too, and the sweet dog lived 16 years. Good omen?) Fingers crossed for your pup.
I'd hoped to clear off the bed we're going to move tomorrow, but both cats are sound asleep on it right now. I'm not feeling either mean or energetic enough to push them off. It shouldn't really take that long anyway. Honest!

Hey, Celeste. That is interesting that your cousin had a dog named Nova. My daughter named her...was supposed to be her puppy, but you know how that goes. She does take care of her some, but for the most part....... Anyway, she is a Catahoula Leopard mix. Her picture is my avatar, but don't know how well that shows up on other's computers. That picture was from when she was about 3 months old(?). She looks like something just exploded all over her. So, they called her Nova. Where I take her to play, they call her SuperNova! I sometimes call her NovaNoodle or NovaNoo. I was concerned about naming her Nova due to those first two letters. Thought that might be conflictive at times... I wish that I had some more recent pictures of her. I love driving with her in the front seat & the window down...as she has her head sticking out the entire time as many dogs do. But, what I love about it is that she brings so many smiles to people's faces. They just take one look at her and smile. I like to think that she added a little brightness to someone's day. Could have been someone depressed, sad, angry, whatever... Anyway, I just felt the need to brag on my beautiful dog. She is the type that people are just drawn too because she has a very striking look. The only thing that I have problems with when it comes to people looking at her, is that often they stare directly into her eyes. Most people who know dogs know that is not something one should do unless they really know the temperament of the dog. Anyway, even those who are experienced with dogs will stare at her. I think it is because she has one brown eye and the other one is "cracked". Part blue & part brown, and the blue looks kind of white in this breed, sometimes. That type of blue is actually called "glass". Anyway, she is a wonderful dog, but I am having difficulty training her to walk on a leash, but think I need to work with her more. She knows several tricks, but just is so excited about the world!!! Okay, sorry to go on & on about my puppy. CD
