This is theoretical: in another board I frequent, we have an Ignore button. If we don't want to read reviews by that person, we click Ignore and their userID stays in the thread but the actual message is hidden unless you unblock it.
Does Proboards have a similar switch?

I know you can block a member by going to their profile and then clicking on the settings/gear type symbol. Not sure exactly what it does here.

Okay, when you click on it you have 4 options that you can check or uncheck -
Hide this members posts, Do not let this member start new conversations with me. Do not let this member follow me or my activities. Block notifications from this member.
I think the Hide option would do the same as the Ignore option on other boards.
*I have confirmed it hides their posts, but gives you the option to display each one individually.

Warning - if you block someone, I don't see a way to go back in and unblock them. (I did it to someone as a test.)
If you want to change how you have someone blocked, just go to your profile under privacy settings and you can edit your member block list.

60isolderthanithot, see this in the Instructions & How-To's section. About 1/3rd the way down, are instructions on how to block someone. (Under the section about the Privacy Tab in your profile.)
