This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.)
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing.
Once you have 3 things done, post them here.
- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM!

Hi everyone! Snailspace, thanks for starting the thread! Wantinmore, good luck with working in the garage. Fifteen minute increments are a good idea. Less stressful! Messyshelby, try not to get overwhelmed. Take some deep breaths and have a cup of tea or something before you start. Cando, so sorry about green dog yak. Try some Oxyclean on the stains. It may help. Got a few things done so far. TADAS: 1. Got up, took meds/vitamins/ did personal care, ect. 2. Banking done. 3. Went to visit a friend with cancer in the hospital. Brought her some fish and chips, but she had left for radiation already. 4. Had a visit from my niece and her daughter. TODO: 5. I have to work till 9 tonight. See you later! 3g

Hey great day everyone,
TaDa's: Got up and scheduled a vet appointment Took the cat to the vet, it was a good idea, and they took into account my lack of employment and didn't charge me a lot. I think this is very good, I have to check back with them on Monday.
ToDo's Must cook seitan and greens for lunch/dinner clean up after that. Get ready to go out for 8pm show, with camera gear for shooting.

Tadas: Made it to work! Had to go back home and retrieve purse I left sitting on couch. Got payroll done. And the bills that needed immediate attention. Had lunch. I made myself eat something. Todos: Go to bank. Leave bank without blowing it up. I hate banks now. Keep it together the rest of the day. I am going in 5 minute increments. So far that is working. Write out payroll checks.

Hey, MessyShelby...don't know if you're talking about a specific experience at the bank that you just had, or in general with the economy... Sounds like they done you wrong... Good going on the 5 minute increments... About the purse, just so you feel better... the day before yesterday when I walked out the door to take DAngelDog for a walk... As soon as I closed the door and not even down my walkway, realized that I had locked myself out of the house. I had purposely taken my car keys off the key chain & brought them with me but left the house key. Duh... I was very lucky that one of my neighbors who has a key to my house happened to be home. Now, you know why she has a key to my house, too! . Last time, I did that I had to call a Locksmith. Tadas: 1)picked up DD from Marching Band Practise 2)took DS to Engineering/Robotics meeting 3)had puppy with us so went to Vet's office...didn't want to see the vet that was doing most of the "walk-ins" & the other one was in surgeries. The other vets were out of town. So, scheduled an appointment for later today *bonus*showered2shoes, brushed teeth, blow-dried hair--yucky clothes since dealing with puppy later. Will change again, later. Todos: 1)take DD to Marching Practise, again. Another one before their football game tonight & they all go on the bus from there to the stadium. Game isn't until 7:30pm... and I won't pick her up until 11:30pm at her school. Once again, I'm thankful that it isn't a school night...hate those games on school nights. 2)pick up DS from engineering/robotics meeting 3)take puppy to vet CD
