Hi, Chat screen is not loading for me...when I click on the chat link, it loads forever while displaying "waiting for client11.addonchat.com". Once it (finally) finishes loading, it displays the Stepping out of Squalor banner, the tree-style menu, and the Welcome message that normally displays below the chat screen...but no chat screen itself, not even the space it would normally take up. How can I fix this? My OS is Windows XP and browser is Google Chrome. Thanks! MS

Me too and I'm in Windows 7, Firefox 23. I just tried going to addonchat.com and addoninteractive.com (the websites for the company that created the programming for the chatroom) ... ... to see if they had an announcement about chat being down, or undergoing upgrade, or something. Well ... their own websites appear to be down! We could message Greg from chat support, but I suspect he's rather busy now. -- UPDATE: 5:00am Pacific time, Sept 18, 2013: Our chat is still down. Their websites (addonchat.com and addoninteractive.com) are still down. I just googled for their facebook page and found it at www.facebook.com/AddonInteractiveIt's up but says nothing about an outage. I see a couple of public comments saying that chat is down. I don't have a facebook account so I cannot post there. Perhaps someone who has a facebook account could send them a message via their facebook account? I just googled for their Twitter account and found it at twitter.com/AddonTweetsIt's up but says nothing about an outage. I don't have a Twitter account so I cannot contact them that way.

In the "number of chatters" currently in chat ... the box that appears at the bottom of the SOS home page ... Instead of saying "zero" or a number, it says: "you must be logged in to chat". Well yeah we're logged in. But chat is apparently broken.

Sigh, I guess I will go back to bed instead of into chat. Hope it recovers soon. Maybe we should send chat a Get Well Card.

We had a severe server outage this morning. We are still monitoring and addressing problems following a serious power-related incident at our network operation center.
Technicians have been assigned to resolve the remaining issues preventing access to services including AddonChat and AddonLiveSupport.
Typically such problems are resolved very quickly, often without interruption. Before this incident our average server up-time was ~3 years. This situation is unique due to the severity of the incident, preventing NOC technicians from being able to quickly address remaining issues.
Contingency plans to resume service using "hot" standby gear are in place and being considered if absolutely necessary.
Your patience is greatly appreciated at this time. We're working as fast as possible to resolve this situation.
