Hello everyone.
I will only be posting tadas. My goal is at least 25, but 40+ would really be good. Baby steps count, too. Please remember there are no rules here, so post todos or tadas or both.... Let's just get some stuff done or even just one thing. Just something that we can look back and say, "I did something(s)!"
Today's tadas: 1)woke up 5:40am !!! 2)6:15am took DS to meet with Engineering/Robotics Club for breakfast as they have there big contest today, "Game". (Oh yeah, I loved that I had clean shirts & underwear in the dryer when he told me he was out of underwear after his shower. Really, he can do his own clothes & I can make him responsible for it, once again. I have just been being nice in doing his clothes lately). 3)gave meds to puppy 4)finished unloading dishwasher from yesterday or day before (forgot which) 5)emptied kitchen trash, sprayed can & replaced bag 6)folded/hung load of laundry-- got DPuppy to hand me things from the dryer. At first she did like 5 or 6 socks in a row, then she decided she wanted a treat for all that work and refused to do anything else cause she wanted a treat. I told her, "Okay, I'll give you a treat. Take and give to Momma". She came over to the dryer from the table & took another sock from the dryer & gave it to me. So, of course, I gave her a treat. Then, she did it again & again a couple more times but each time I had to give her a treat, unlike when we first started... Now, How do I get her off having to give her a treat for each time she hands me something. Hmmmm. I'm open to suggestions.
Then, she snuck out a dirty glove that is waiting to be washed and took that to the den. I asked her what she was doing and to put it back. She walked with me back into the laundry area & put it down but then took it back. I told her to leave it & she finally did. But, I can tell she really wants those gloves.... Well, they were really cheap gloves like under $2.00 for gardening. So, I won't make a big deal if I find them torn up... 7)moved load from washer into dryer 8)put load of laundry away 9)put 5 bottles into recycle bag 10)put 3 bags of trash into outside can
11)put 3 bags of recyclable bottles/jars into outside can 12)put away plastic spoon 13)car charger for cell phone that has been sitting on kitchen table for almost a week--put on top of my purse for when i leave later. First, I opened the container & cut tag off & threw trash away. 14)opened box of kleenex that's been sitting on chair in den for over a week and put it on top of my purse to go in my car. 15)put empty pill bottle into trash --been thru with it for a week at least, so one less thing on my sink counter. 16)put 3 meds into bathroomcloset -- one of those had been there for months or longer! The other two for at least a week. 17)put empty cereal box into recycle bag 18)put piece of paper with old notes on it into recycle bag -- that had been on my sink counter for about a week. 19)10 minutes spent walking DAngelDog and self 20)Another 30 spent trying to walk with puppy. 21)took DD to Marching Band Practise where she will then go with the band to their UIL contest 22)picked up DS from "Game"...engineering/robotics contest.--they came in 5th place. That was better than they thought they would do, so very happy with that. 23)changed clothes, put some make-up on, brushed hair & teeth again. 24)went to DD's UIL Marching Band Competition to watch her band's performance & to do volunteer work. They did great and got the highest score they could get. I worked for 4 hours standing up & moving around the entire time as a "Ramp Host". Was truly tired afterwards, but also realized that I only got a couple hours sleep the night before. DD volunteered to work after her performance, too. 25)picked up DD from her school after the competition. (She still had to take their bus back). 26)earlier, painted fingernails
I really enjoyed doing Vivre's thread today. 5*10*15. Back to it! CD

Good morning, CanDo. Thanks for starting the thread. pick up my car (I think it is supposed to be ready today) You're stronger than you look, Earlene! Seriously, good work getting more items donated. Do you have a plan for introducing recycling at the restaurant? Yes, I do have a plan. Currently I am taking broken down boxes and some plastics home with me and putting them into our home recycling bins. But there is a company south of us who pick up recycling from businesses here in our town for a fairly small fee. Our current garbage company (large, very large mult-state company) will also pick up recycling, but the fee is excessive, so I am going with the other company. In fact, we are going to switch out regular garbage to another local company as well. I wish we had that option for our home garbage pick-up, too, but we don't. I am considering ending garbage pick-up at home altogether because we produce so little garbage and we could bring it to the restaurant's dumpster.

Survive today! Sorry to be so cryptic, but I'll try to explain more later! (Suffice to say it has to do with a houseful of people and moving the possessions of a woman with Alzheimer's...) Update: Whew! I made it. We got the major furniture pieces moved into Mom's new Assisted Care apartment and set up. We've got the bed made, a few books waiting for her next to a well-lit easy chair, and her cup collection on display above the kitchen cabinets. My aunt ironed in a few more labels -- and casually made dinner for ten people! Although we are a bit tired, lots of hands made light work for everyone, Dad enjoyed his birthday ("Happy Birthday, Dad"), family saw Dad's namesake great grandson walk a few steps on his own, and visitors liked the new apartment. Lots of happy, affectionate conversation. We've got enough done that Mom could stay in her new apartment a few days and be okay. I'll get more items over during the week. Mom is delusional, but people smile slightly and change the subject. The redirection helps. Thanks for the emotional support, everyone. Thanks also for the kind offer to help, Eagle, but I think we're fine now. Too pooped to stay awake any longer. I'm ceding this thread to the excellent djdj, who did a ton of work today! Kudos also go to Cando and Eagle for their efforts. Well done, friends!

CanDo, what a great sighting. I have seen some lovely birds and sometimes I even get decent shots with my camera. But for the most part, I simply choose to enjoy them. Now and then I'll actually document the sightings by name, date & location in one of my bird books. It's fun to look back at some of them and be reminded of the birds I have seen and the different places I was when I saw them. My gosh, Djollydjolan, you are definitely getting a lot done! You are a whirlwind. It's great that you have sprouting avacadoes. I've never had any luck growing them, and I sure wish I did, because I love avacadoes. Celeste, it is not easy what you are going through. Just know that we are here bolstering you up as much as you need us. Is there anything I can do to help? I just got my car back yesterday & it's in great shape. I think you're only a couple of hundred miles from me. I could hop in my car & be there in 3 hours time. I can lift stuff, carry things, help pack stuff, iron labels, cook a meal, clean, whatever you need. I'd have to leave no later than 9 or 10 pm on Sunday night so I can be back at work well rested on Monday morning. Seriously, let me know. eagle's Saturday morning wake-up routine breakfast & dishes laundry: one dryer load done laundry: one washer load done vitamins & apple shower, dress, make-up moved recycle stuff to bins went to work almost done with monthly taxes lunch complete monthly tax forms throw something away donate something clean something take a break (just about to leave to do that) take a walk read book

DjDj--- You sure were a bundle of energy yesterday! I love that you were a thread hog as you said. You rocked the boards!!!!!
"emptied catch all basket in laundry closet, it was all money. woot!" -- Just curious, how big is that catch all basket, anyway??
"went through medicine cabinet, this is just a quick glance for anything that catches my eye to be tossed eh?" Another curiosity, anything??
"walked over to the market and grabbed an orange to make orange cranberry oat scones got those made and popped them in the oven .............. rousted mancreature outta bed and into the shower so hopefully there will be toasty warm clean mancreature and toasty warm done scones at the same time " -- Oh, DJ what great planning... " I'll bet that was just so wonderful!
Celeste-- Glad you got your DMom moved in. Did she actually stay there last night? That's so good that you had friends/family to help you and sounds like they were very supportive. It sounds like all went well.
Eagle--You are so sweet to have offered to help Celeste. Good job working on taxes. BTW, I'm not a bird enthusiast but I sure do enjoy watching them. I was surprised that I was a little scared of that big bird... I guess cause it seemed to be watching us & it was the largest bird I've ever been around up close other than at a zoo, fair, or Aviary.
I think that we all a had a productive day on this here Accountability Thread. Woot Woot!!!!
