Me, too, Louie . I didn't want to do the mail, but made myself: Went thru yesterday's mail - 1 coupon packet where it goes, put wonderful, but braggy letter from relatives on Dining Room table for rest of family to read (always hesitant about this as I think it makes us feel inadequate in some way, but I think pictures will be enjoyed & it is a great letter), 3 "to be shred", 2 "to be filed", 9 into recycle bag. I don't want to do this, but I know I have to. I'll do the online portion of my "paperwork" tasks and report back.

I eventually did most of my online work, just waiting for some info from someone else to complete it. That means I can start on the physical pile of paper tomorrow.
While I was procrastinating on my paperwork I did useful things like laundry and putting away the holiday decorations, so all in all a win for the day.

First of all, and to everyone on this thread who is in the process of taming all the unruly paper that threatens to take over their home. Today I sentenced two HUGE boxes of various papers--cards, old receipts and financial paperwork, instruction books, newspaper and magazine articles, etc.--to death in the shredder. I wanted to post about it here because I know everyone on this thread can relate to just how good it feels to see all that useless paper heading out the door. Of course, I still have 310 more boxes of random paper to sort thru (okay, maybe only 309), but it felt awesome to just get started. Those remaining 309 boxes better be shaking in their boots (or whatever it is that boxes of paper use as footwear ).

just checking in to claim amnesty on my daily paper decluttering - I've spent the last two days at work sorting, tossing, and shredding papers going back over 30 years in the storeroom at work! I've filled two large wheelie bins of rubbish and two of recycling - I'm knackered I should get through the last of it tomorrow and then I'll get back to work on my own papers. ..seems like I'm not the only one at work who has a 'paper clutter' problem! mind you it's way easier to declutter at work.

15 min. Shredding papers from 2003, 2006, and 2014. 3 papers filed, 52 papers shredded, 13 papers into recycle bag. Emptied shredder & filled a bag with shreds. 30 min. Filing (stuff from that same bag that I've been working on for a while that is on top of the Buffet in the Dining Room -- this bunch of papers was from 2011. What I do is grab a handful at a time... sometimes the handful is bigger than other times... this was a BIG handful. I am almost done with this bag). 5 papers & 1 folder put in recycle bag CD
