It is a great feeling to be part of such a supportive group that seems to be growing everyday! It is so good to check it out in the morning and see how much people got done while I was asleep, it really makes me want to get going and do things too, so thanks everyone. Hi, Razy. Hope your day gets better. You must have got out yesterday because you bought fruit. Happy Birthday, djollydjolan. AnnieOkie, I also filled up with gas at $2.37 a gallon. Could not resist that price. I hope you are feeling better today. CanDo, you sure got a lot of laundry done. Dog hairs on the carpet, yes? Not your own? Could be of course. I lose a lot of hair to my carpet. The telltale white hairs (no pets to blame it on.) I used to dye my hair regularly, but now it's au natural and I save a lot of money that way, besides the time and cleanup from the inevitable messes I used to make with spillage, etc. Celeste, Mom has a kitchenette. It sounds quite nice. I hope you are adjusting to the change at home and your dad, too. This is not an easy thing. Once the preparations are all done and you have time to relax, sometimes the feelings crowd in. Saffron, great job on your list. Margarita, hope to see you here again. We were very busy at the restaurant at lunch yesterday. I did not get the payroll done on time for the folks who have Direct Deposit. In fact, I forgot to put it on my office ToDo list, so I didn't even remember it. So I'll be giving them paper checks. In over a year this has only happened once before, but still it bothers me that I didn't even think of it yesterday when writing my ToDo list. I got up at 4:26 am this morning. It's been over an hour now and it's still dark. eagle's Thursday morning wake-up routine put the coffee on ran payroll re-set pedometer vitamins & apple breakfast & dishes deleted 3 programs from DVR (watched 2 of them) laundry 300 seated twists; Yoga; weights Chiropracter appt. shower & hair finished designing new job application form (I started work on it a year ago.) clean something throw something away put something away donate something unload car (last night's shopping trip) print paychecks apply skin softener to hands & face (sensitive facial skin - need to figure out what I've got that won't upset my skin) 7,639 steps for the day (That's equivelent to 76 minutes of walking - I do about 2000 steps in 20 minutes when walking briskly)

Happy Birthday Dear DJ!!!
I think we all did great yesterday.
Eagle --The hairs are mostly dog hair, but have some of mine, DH's, dust and whatever -- at least the ones in the bathroom. In the kitchen, is the dog hair & dust bunnies mixture.
If I could do like yesterday, everyday, then I bet my house would definitely improve! That was a whole lot for me.
Annie--Glad you are feeling better today.
Tadas Today: 1)dressed2shoes 2)took DD to school 3)took puppy to Dog's Play -- the vet declared her well the other day. 4)took DS to school 5)Today was my 15 minute walk... the times are starting to increase in the program that I am doing. I need to start doing stuff on the off days...push-ups, sit-ups, squats, etc. I took DAngelDog to the lake again. It was pretty chilly outside...went in the 40s last night & don't know what the temp was while walking. DAngelDog & I absolutely love walkiing around that little lake which I found out today is .72 miles - one time around. I am increasing my speed now and I felt so good after the walk. DAngelDog was actually prancing the last few minutes. There were lots of pigeons, ducks, other birds, turtles sticking their heads out of the lake, and squirrels. DAngelDog wants to chase those squirrels so bad but I won't let her. Last time she caught one -- ended up with a trip to the vet as it got her some...and the squirrel died. I don't want her killing squirrels. So don't intend to let her go after them. One was so close & wasn't even afraid of us...if only that squirrel knew what trouble he could've been in if DAngelDog got away from me........ 6)looked up to see DH's scheduled flight arrival from London 7)internet research re: identity theft. 8)med given earlier to puppy 9)long phone call with DMV...wrote about it seperately. 10)changed linens on my bed & put the comforter on it that has been hanging around in the office still in the bag from the cleaners. 11)changed my clothes, brushed teeth, hair, little make-up on 12)made spinich casserole, earlier 13)picked up DH from airport 14)picked up puppy 15)picked up DD 16)cooked the rest of supper -- Salmon Croquettes & Boiled potatoes 17)got dishes soaking

I'm taking a slight break today from setting goals. I need to do that every once in a while to keep from being disappointed when demand resistance gets too strong for me. My streak of perfectionism makes it hard to excuse myself for any reason and I overreact. I'll list ta-das, but that's it. djdj - "Happy Birthday!" I hope you are enjoying it after all your hard work. Razy - A ta-da you forget to post is one for starting the thread here! Thank you! Eagle - Yes, Mother has a studio apartment with a tiny little kitchenette, complete with a microwave, a minuscule sink and fridge/freezer. It's actually rather cute it is so Lilliputian. The sink stopper is about the size of a large cork! Having a kitchen means she can keep fruit and cold/hot drinks handy. As for how she is settling in, she's doing better than I expected, but she's still having issues. Dad said she was rude to the staff last night. Not their fault, of course. My adjustment is also taking time. I find myself listening for her 24/7 to make sure she's okay. I hadn't realized I was doing it until she left. I find it hard to let down my guard. AnnieOkie - I'm relieved to hear you are feeling a bit better. Keep taking it easy. Shake this strep! Cando - Your walk around the lake with DAngelDog sounds lovely despite the chilly temperature. It's fascinating to see what the wildlife is doing at various points during the year. I'll be back later with any ta-das.
(Later!) Visit Mother Take the cat to visit Mother Unpack Mom's crystal (2 boxes) Put crystal into curio cabinet I walked in to Mother's room carrying Minx this afternoon and her face lit up. I'd heard she'd had a bad time with staff last night, so I wanted to brighten her day a bit. Minx stayed in Mom's lap longer than I thought she might under the stress of the moment. Mom cooed and smiled brightly, telling the cat she missed her. Minx spent a lot of time on the windowsill, watching the wind whip the leaves around. She also settled on the bed and under the bed. The cat came out when I called her so we could go home. Mother was also relieved to see me, since she misses me too. I met Dad outside the front door. He later told me that Mom beamed when he said "I hear you had a special visitor!" I went over with Dad again after supper to tell her good night. Mother was happy to have us there. Those who know Mom at the home were shocked at Mother's crabby behavior last night. "That just isn't your mother!" one of them told me. We talked about bedtime routines and Mother's pattern of confusion before breakfast as well as her occasional agitation and delusions at bedtime. Both had been noted. They seemed to feel better to hear that it was "normal" for her. Irish Rose - Nice work on a long list! Cando - I can see why you are upset over the identity theft (and the way the officer treated you). Theft of one's identity is a disturbing violation of self. At least it is something that can be remedied, and for that I'm grateful. Take care, my friend. djdj - Wow. You got a lot done on your birthday! Want to come work on mine?

I am literally shaking and in tears. I was told once when I called about a month ago to the DMV that I could get my driver's license number changed since I am a victim of identity theft, to just bring a copy of the police report. I don't know why, but I wanted to double check about this since my license is expiring on Monday & the police report states that it was reported at a location outside the city limits. They transferred me to a state trooper this time & he has basically branded me guilty until proven innocent. I have to prove to him that someone else is using my driver's license and anyone can go to the city and report that their information was being used. Also, that anyone can just go on line to their state's DMV website & complete the Forgery Affadavitt... Affadavitt's have to be notarized, but that evidently doesn't mean anything to him. He wants a total of 3 affadavits (including the FTC) and wants the police to amend the report to state the details that I alreaddy gave to the police department. I have to prove to him that my identity was stolen. I already have 2 other affadavits but don't see why I need to give the state trooper all my personal banking account numbers that are on the affadavit for my bank! I am livid!!!
What happened was I went to write a check for my groceries at Wal-Mart & my check was denied...they gave me a tiny slip of paper with a phone number to call to find out why. I did. It was Telecheck. Person there stated that someone used my driver's license to pass a bad check at Wal-Mart. So, I had to fill out affadavit and send to them & was told at least 30 days before I would here whether they cleared it or not due to Hu;rricane Ike. There is no bad check to show the trooper as Wal-Mart does the checks electronically & returns the check to the purchaser. ARGGH!
This is the type thing that happens to me and over the years I believe why I got in this squalor situation. The stressful issues with kids, schools, psychiatrist, etc. I get to shaking and crying and just can't do anything... And, all these issues take so much time to resolve, if they can be at all. lFirst the trooper said that I need to get an affadavit from the bank the bad check was drawn on... Well, that is in another city an hour drive minimum each way & they will likely not give me any information... after all, I am not a police officedr.

Thanks, Annie. I felt a little better after I posted that & got it off my chest. I feel like such a baby cause I was trying so hard to get a handle on the eating area...now due to that phone call it is messed up even more. Also, running out of time I had to do some stuff that I really wanted to do...
You are right it is not that awful a situation. I will just take the steps that I need to and hope for the best. I have no information about the hot check at all except what has been verbally given to me and some of that information I already found was incorrect.
I will deal with the ID issue next week & get my license renewed with my same number tomorrow. I will just hope that whoever used my number does not write any more bad checks using my number...
