I was going to post something about this very subject!! My hot spots are; bedroom dresser top (this is where all the what-do-I-do-with-this? paperwork ends up), all the closets in the house with the exception of the hall closet which has recently been cleared. Other areas include the laundry room, back porch and shed. Surprisingly the last three areas are in good shape and haven't accumulated anything!! Sad to say that the top of the dresser is in really, really bad shape with stuff I really, really need to take care of. Good for you Clearwaterush on getting your sewing area cleaned up!!!

My "hot spots" are also on top of the dresser. That gets cleaned off every two or three days, but builds up again rapidly.
And, some closets and drawers.
Right now I am working on my worst spot in the house, my icky closet in the office area.
Also, I tend to find dog and cat hairs just everywhere.
And the refrigerator and medicine cabinets also need work. Under the sinks, etc. That kind of thing.
So, the "hot spots" are all areas that are hidden to company and hidden during daily living.
But, I know they are there and am trying to get them all taken care of one at a time.
Edited to add: If this question was asked before I discovered the Squalor Survivor Boards a few years ago my answer would have been "everything" and "everywhere in the whole house and garage"!
