we had a huge pile of random lumber on the back deck. Pieces of crown molding trim kick plate et cetera. Finally got it all cut up today, and put in old dog food bags, ready for the trash can in the morning. I get dry dog food in huge bags and they are super sturdy for the wood with the nail sticking out. So that's three bags headed for the trash can and a huge pile of scrap wood off my deck.
Huge bag of garbage on the front step ready to go. Need to get back to my room!!

Great work everyone I have missed working with this challenge of the past 2 weeks. I had to stop and put all my focus on finishing up my National Boards. I guess I should count getting it done as a bag . Anyhow, I have reviewed what I had accomplished, what my goals were and how much time I have left until the 31st and have made adjustment according so that I can still met my goals. I have 13 days left -- not counting today -- today is dedicated to getting daily life back on track. Yard 8 .25 Hours a day -- Basically I need to spend 2 hours a day in the yard to meet my 30 hour goal. It is not doable at all. But I will work daily getting flowerbed ready and will just have to see what my finally commitment turns out to be. Garage 46 items a day -- I will need to purge, sort & organize 46 items a day -- very doable Classroom 4 inches a day -- I will need to file 4 inches a day (weekdays only) -- very doable Home Challenge 46 items a day -- I will need to purge from dresser drawers and closets 46 items a day -- very doable So except for the yard challenge of 30 hours I can still make it happen without much pressure. I will be posting accomplishments tomorrow. Not Catch Up Moving Forward -- ONWARD

Wait, what do you mean I have to clean that area again? I cleaned it already. It was already a "Bag" last time when we did 40. I posted it. Ok, fine.

We parted with our son's crib. Been hanging onto it thinking I would resell on Craigslist because he really didn't even use it. I kept using the excuse I needed the pictures we took of it when it was still put together 1.5 years ago. Yeah those are long gone. So I snapped a couple pics of it disassembled along with a pic I found online of the style and what it looks like. Posted on a free/give page I belong to on Facebook and I had a taker in 30 minutes and was picked up from my home within the hour.
That is a small space of our garage that is reclaimed now. So I think it should count as "1 bag." Think that puts me at 9 out of 35.
*Edit* I woke this morning to a nice message from the mama who picked up the crib. My husband met her with it yesterday as I was busy with our son. She had mentioned an older son and then of course the baby. But this mama has 11 children. And she said thank you for blessing her. The crib was so much nicer than she expected, the nicest she has ever had for any of her babies. *awww* I keep tearing up about it knowing that we impacted them in a positive way. And here my focus was getting it out of my house. *sniff sniff*

Trying to get a better looking bedroom today & opened up a never used closet. I had stuffed things from the den in 2009 in there when having to make room for hospital bed so DH could come out of rehab for home hospice care. Threw away an old old sportcoat of his, an old workshirt, a large tote bag, a dippy looking picture holding thing that was a gift, never used, & many other things. Came across 3 or 4 more packets of old income tax returns which went into filing cabinet, 2 nice books which are on bookshelf, many VCR tapes which I am keeping b/c they were favorites, snapshots, & a huge load of financial papers from years ago when my DH co-signed for DD's home, sold years ago. Kept settlement sheets, & shredded all the other stuff with their names, SS nos. on them & recycled rest. There were so many b/c there were 2 re-fi packs too. I had to vacuum afterwards. My back A.C.H.E.S ! But I feel productive at least. catcat
