Hi razy and saffron. Looks like you've been busy already. Me....I have a busy couple of days, hoping to accomplish all I need to get done.
Ta Da's -Up, shower, meds, ready for work. -Made beds. -Breakfast for all. -Meds to dog. -Called and made appt. for plumber to come root my sewer line. I am having to pay for it because I am too embarrassed to have the landlord come over and do it. Still need to get two rooms presentable before I feel I'll be ready for that.
To Do's -Dollar store for bathroom paper cups. -Be sure sons are home to meet plumber this afternoon (already left voice mail on older son's phone and warned him he would have to be home right after school last night, left a blank check there for plumber). -Supper....meatloaf in fridge ready to go into oven. -Dishes. -Continue to gather things for younger son Halloween costume for Friday (this may entail a trip to the costume store). -Orchestra concert in costume for younger son 6:45. -Be sure homework is done. -Fold and put away load in dryer. -Dry and fold load in washer. -Carve pumpkin. -Spot clean bathroom floor where toilet water backed up this weekend (Thank God it was just a little bit!). Pick up bucket and towels I used to sop it up. -Get to bed at a decent hour!!
Have a wonderful and productive day all!

I forgot one thing and I am posting it separately so I KNOW everyone can see it and I will HAVE to deal with it. Younger son checked out library book last year. I did not follow up on getting it returned. Cannot locate it in squalor. I WILL go to library this evening and pay for the book. He is going to library with Cub Scouts tomorrow and I want him to be able to check out a book. So for the day, my squalor will have cost me about $120 (plumber+book).

mancreature couldn't make it to base today. car needed a repair to the tune of 500 dollars. pricey day off of work but hopefully car will run better now.. always less expensive in pretty much every way to maintain than do major repair eh? ouch though:/
i don't feel like posting a big long todo list today.. just going to post tadas blahblahblah... cleaned the bathroom.. mirrors, counters, dusted stuff tossed a few things, scrubbed down the shower and tub while i was in there showering myself off.. scrubbed down the sink.. scooped and petfreshed the catbo, swept the floor, gathered up all laundry annnnnd
got laundry queued up..mancreature put away his clean and dry laundry, i straightened out the closet, ferret bedding is drying, a load of whites is washing and bleaching 2 loads of darks lined up, load of delicates/sweaters, another load of whites to do. i'm having issues with my attempts at air drying stuff. it's not going so well. mancreature does not like the "crunchy" laundry. it takes quite awhile to go from dirty to clean and dry air drying it. dunno if this will last, we'll see. there's a mutiny abrewing about it though i think. who's obligation is it to toss the laundry into the dryer for 5 minutes to 'decrunchify it'? mine? mancreatures? i see my job as being done once it's clean and begun the drying process. he can put it away crunchy, he can fluff it, he can make a nest of it and sleep on it. he stares blankly at the crunchy clothing hanging there and asks when i will finish it. i say i AM finished he can deal with it. it hangs there for days. yes, there is a laundry mutiny abrewing. an overthrowing of the established but not understood laundry government in force. we'll see how it turns out i guess....
started to pick up bedroom. realised my ipod's been missing for a whole week. decided today would be a cleaning and ipod search and rescue kind of day. the thing's so tiny who knows where it might have gone to at this point:/ the ferrets help with relocation missions. dear, sweet, stinky little creatures

AnnieOkie, Sorry to hear you're having to spend that money today. I'm sure you can think of other, more enjoyable, ways of spending it. I can't begin to list the ways my squalor has cost me. I'd be here all day... DjDj, you're making great progress today. While the "crunchy" laundry is a funny story to me, I'm sure it's very irritating to you! Hope you find your IPod.

Razy==Thank you. Glad you got the writing done.
Saffron, Annie, and DJ--Y'all been doing great. Bummer, about that book, Annie. DJ, Hope you find your IPod.
Tadas: 1)dressed2shoes 2)took DD to school 3)took 3 bags of recyclable papers to outside can 4)took 1 box & 2 shoe boxes to outside can 5)took DS to school
That's all I've done. Not feeling well today... Realized that I'm supposed to go to Court in the morning & nothing to wear that fits, I don't think... Hmmmm. I'm a witness in my DH's Hit and Run. None of us were hurt, but the guy just honked (even though he hit us) and drove off. The State is pursuing this...
6)looked over bills 7)moved load of laundry into dryer 8)cleaned up dog yak 9)showered2shoes 10)played with puppy 11)received phone call from DD's teacher... ARgghh! nice b-day present... handled it okay. 12)spoke to DD on cell phone briefly re: above & she said it would be fine to discuss in front of her brother in the car. 13)picked DD & DS up a few minutes later.--discussed phone call & issues at school. DS was wonderful & asked before just butting in...asked his sister if she would mind telling him & maybe he could help somehow. He was wonderful to her. Nurturing, funny, clever, & did, indeed, help her with one of the issues. Later, DD resolved other issues, brilliantly, with her teacher. 14)swiped back bathroom toilet 15)worked concession stand (was actually a paid, volunteer job)... 16)opened my gifts and cards & celebrated my b-day.
Ended up being a wonderful birthday even though earlier during the course of the day were some very bad moments. Received notice that I am cleared to write a check again with the company that showed me as bad credit due to identity theft.
Was exhausted & fell asleep on the den floor....

it's both for me.. irritating and funny.. living with someone else there's always going to be something to bicker about.. if this is the worst we have to tiff over though we are lucky and doing fine.. if it isn't the worst then it's really not worth pickin' a fight over eh? -sometimes- i can be calm and reasonable;)
mancreature tried on clothes i got for him. the pants were a nogo. the buttonups worked nicely.. half of the sweaters were a huge hit. he is now in love with cashmere and says, "more, please" to it. well, that's good. he looks very nice in the sweaters and they are super comfy. i'm maintaining that he can look nice and be as comfy as if in pj's. hehe clothes that he's keeping are now queued up with the rest of the laundry making an insurmountable pile.
cleared off balcony and front porch because the exterior of the building's being power washed today. the front room's now a jungle, ooops.
searched through dressing area for ipod. no ipod found. went through every pocket and every nook and cranny and pulled -everything- out. did get rid of- 1 bra 4 of my own sweaters pair of old tights a purse an old bra an old beatup coat wiped down hangers and closet shelves and rails, wiped down dresser top and dusted jewelry holders but no ipod found. going to begin searching the rest of the bedroom next...:< mancreature asked if i was getting rid of his old clothes as i got him new ones, i said no, he said but now there's more and we want less and i don't care what we keep, except the stuff you know i love. that's a fineline, don't want to toss someone elses stuff. might see if he'll go through his half of the closet with me. for all i know ipod might be hiding in that half uhg. will go ask him to do a quick closet empty and declutter:/

we decluttered mancreature's closet.. he tossed most the stuff given to him by soontobeexshebeast. she did give him a few really cool shirts so he has those. and he looked longingly at gaming swag and i was like. the point isn't to strip away all you love, so those went back into the closet... scratchy sweaters gone, a backup testament to his new found love of cashmere heh. socks with failing elastic gone, got a better idea of what he needs<or at least could use, new boxers, new socks, newer jeans that are nicer than the ratty beloved ones, a few pairs of cords for winter, some new undershirts would be good. but now he has some slacks, some buttonups, a few ties, warm comfy sweaters, new shoes and some new socks, tshirts, long sleeve tshirts, a hoody.. so hmm i'll jot list here- socks-black, white, dress socks second pair of shoes few pairs of cords boxers undershirts then he'll be set for winter, come summer i'll look over again. i want a decent winter coat black boots brown boots black wool pants, 'cause they are super comfy warmy and i love my grey wool slacks so much already
went through the bedroom with a fine toothed comb looking for ipod, dismantled and moved bed.. sheets are now in laundry queue, vacuumed behind and under bed, took everything off nightstand and damp dusted it, but no ipod, emptied bookshelves and dusted shelves and books and looked inside boxes. but no ipod.. pulled everything out from under aquariums and vacuumed, but no ipod... mounted reef powerstrips to wall, wiped down boxes of organised reef stuff. pulled everything out from underneath 26 gallon aquarium and vacuumed and dusted but no ipod.. went through my little basket of stuff and decluttered but again.. no ipod.. so no ipod. but the bedroom is really quite clean now heh.
fire alarm went off in whole building, thank you power washing people for somehow tripping that.. had panic attack, can't stand alarms.. took xanax. gosh golly i sure am mellow now for a day of ipod searching:/

searched hallway for ipod.. not tucked ontop of or between any books, not underneath bookshelves.. not in laundrycloset anywhere i could see... faced the books, pulled out a few more to get rid of.. wiped down the washer and dryer.. vacuumed the hallway really well.. vacuumed underneath the bookshelves.. moved stuff and vacuumed everywhere... vacuumed inside laundry closet.. emptied laundry closet garbage can... pulled out linttrap to really scrub it clean... bleh
still no ipod though. but the place is getting cleaner and decluttered sigh

searched aminal's bathroom... tidied up under sink and put back a few things that had migrated out... wiped down counters, cleaned mirrors, watered the plants in there. scooped the catbox, swept and swiffered the floor, dusted the shelves in there and wiped down glass stuff.. put down clean scatter rug.. this left me poking through every nook and cranny of animal's bathroom and not surprisingly it wasn't in there. but that's another room down and still no ipod.... did scrub out the lint trap and put that back

ipod search and rescue mission continued on into diningroom. pulled out all the plants hat have been evicted from balcony while building's being powerwashed.. wiped down diningroom table, wasnt there.. went through dresser drawers, not there... looked behind and underneath aquarium.. nada. wiped down furniture, planted aquarium plants, algae scrubbed inside of tanks, pulled dead leaves off of spiderplant, planted baby spiderplantlings, wiped down furniture, wiped down kitchen pass through counter.. vacuumed.. but yeah. no ipod.

can't search livingroom because it's buried in plants from the balcony and front porch. took a deep breath and hiked up my big girl panties and went into the scary room. tossed a garbage bag of stuff with my eyes mosly closed and a 4foot shoplight i've been using for growing more plants indoor. it's a nice shoplight and all, eegads maybe i'll actually put it into the storage unit. dunno. mancreature has a day off and asked if i wanted to get any errands run. going to romp to the petstore, the used bookstore to drop off a bunch of books. and get the mail because once again it's been almost 2 weeks since i've done that. oopsie the mailman must srsly hate me:<
