I've just been having too many late-to-bed nights without an early night to make up for it. At some point, this results in a huge morning nap that really messes things up. I got up this morning at the usual time, but just felt too awful to stay up.

Amnesty for sick days, europegirl, yes! larataylor I almost fell into that trap this morning. so I feel bad for you. too bad your internet didn't crash either causing you to panic. Panic really keeps a person awake and going when they are very sleepy. Got any tigers you can release? I seem to be going to bed later than yesterday, that's dumb. 1:43 am. I have a full work week ahead of me so I am going to be very physically tired. I hope this makes me go to bed a bit earlier and earlier naturally and then be on a better schedule after the week. I declare my intention to have NO NAPS. naps have their place, but not when trying to fix a bad sleep schedule.

Let friend stay overnight since she was too late to get a motel room and do laundry. She went out for diapers and still isn't back. Girls crying, baby sleep. No diaper. She says she couldnt find phone and stopped for gas.
It doesn't pay to be nice. Gone an hour. Diapers and gas fifteen minutes tops.

puppybox - work definitely helps me. Especially hard physical work. Getting up to take DD to school has helped a lot, but I can still go back to bed. ugh, dogs kept me awake late and demanded I wake up early but I resisted and they gave up. Got up at 10:05, took dogs out at about 10:40.

Took sleeping pill and was asleep at 11:15 after putting kids of friends to bed with their mother. They wouldn't sleep. My son found a Spiderman blanket and her son whose is five went straight to sleep. He is big fan. Girls all in bed with her.
I had to get them up. I had got up at 6:45 and got daughter to school and came and took nap. Awake 10:45a.m.!

11:44 p.m. just finished most of night routine except dining room table. Laundry can't be put away...would wake everyone up. Put daughter to sleep after movie...free tickets ... Got back up and did dishes...couldn't face dirty kitchen in a.m.

woke up at 10:05. took dogs out not too late I think.
going to bed now, 2:12. have to be somewhere at 10 and awake enough to give an injection for the first time to a deranged dog. um...BAD ME!
I did try, I took benedryl which should have made me sleepy but didn't much. maybe i'll get better sleep because I can breathe thru my nose.

11:18 p.m. in bed. Daughter put to bed earlier...had to do dishes. Dishwasher not working properly. Filters dirty so I have cleaned on and soaking one. Put baking soda and vinegar in bottom to clean greasy build up on filters.

I'm still sick, but I have made improvement every day simply because I am sick; because I've been going to bed earlier while sick... I woke up in good time (9ish) but was so sick from allergies and lung goo that I was too sick to go to the vet at 10 (its just down the street) and missed my appointment. fortunately I don't have to pay. But that's not a good thing to have happen. on the other hand I continued being sick hours later so that is good because it proves it wasn't anxiety making it worse/causing it.
i'll go to bed soon, before/by 2.

Way to go for improving your bedtime and for aiming at your curfew and getting up in time larataylor! puppybox Good work waking up at 9 am. I'm so sorry to hear that you struggle with allergies, so do I... I used to wake up in the night from being unable to breath due to allergies, and I often had major breathing issues while trying to sleep. (I'm a slim person, so it was not sleep-apnea etc). In the end, I found out it was a combination of flowers in my bedroom and letting my ferrets come into my bedroom, so I tossed the flowers out of my bedroom, stopped allowing my ferrets into my bedroom and washed my duvet and pillow on a "bed mite killing" temperature. And I aired out my madrass and cleaned the floor and walls around my bed with bleach, that killed the bed mites. After that my problems have been reduced by 80%... Hope you'll find a solution too! I went to bed at 11 pm yesterday (early for me, so "yay") but I deliberately put my alarm on 08.15 am today because I needed extra sleep, since I'm still healing from my illness and got important meeting where I need to look/do my best today... So I got up at 08.19, so that was a success, yet I won't give myself a goldstar today, since 08.19 is not an improvement nor in accordance with my "long-term plan" for an ideal wakeup-time... So I'll just write "Amnesty due to illeness/needing beautysleep for an important event". I keep plugging along. I'm not doing perfectly, but better than before. I've gotten used to using the computer only in the living room, and reading in bed. I usually wake up before 7:00. I've been distracted from this particular challenge by the challenge of getting my food supply and food spending in order, which is also a great thing.
I'm also fighting the onset of my winter depression … the lizard light is helping. I have to remember to take my pills every day, too. And figure out some way to see a doctor and maybe get better medication for winter.
The house is fairly well maintained. All these systems work together … one good habit smoothing the way for another good habit.
