Computer off by 2245. Lights out by 2345. Up this morning by 0815, because I had somewhere to go this morning.
Trying to resist having a nap.
Will keep wakeup time at 0900 for the rest of the week.
Seems I have less trouble getting to sleep if I go to bed at a decent hour.

That is me too bobolink. 11pm would be lovely, but lately lights out has been closer to 1 more often. And sometimes sleep just doesn't seem to happen til close to dawn. Last night I got 6hrs and that's better than most nights recently. lights out @ 12.45. Up about 8.30.

Oh, I meant to add:
My new treat is listening to some music on my ipod after the lights are out. I recommend the Goldberg Variations and Arvo Pärt and Palestrina!

Nice bobolink. Music at bedtime can be a real help. I listen to audiobooks or my prayer podcast. I laid down at 10:00, watched my episode of Corner Gas, practically falling asleep during. Started an audiobook podcast and promptly fell asleep. Woke on my own at 6:45, dozed until 8:00 with wild dreams. Boy it takes me a long time to get actually moving in the morning, hours it seems.

angela , I get going really slowly in the morning as well. I may be awake but I'm sure not conscious.

computer off at 2300. Lights out at 1345. A bit later than I would have liked. Need to be careful not to slip back into old bad habits.
Got up at 0845 when the alarm went - am meeting a friend for coffee and needed to get up on time.

Layed down (lied down?) at 9:45, watched my show, put on an audiobook and promptly fell asleep. Woke on my own at 6:45. This going to bed early is magic.

Well, that was a setback. Watched TV until 2345. Lights out at 0015. Slept until 1030.
Everyone else in the household is away for a long weekend, and all my new habits left with them. Looks like I need the structure of living with others to maintain some kind of structure to my day.

bobolink it does sound like you are capable of rising earlier, but unless there is a good reason such as meeting someone, it is harder to do. I guess I am fortunate in that my animals give me a good reason to get up at all. Honestly I wonder if I wouldn't stay in bed all day if it was just me I had to care for. Let's see, last night light outs at 10:30, woke at 7:30? Without alarm...sweaty night...it's that time in the cycle. I got some new supplements that are supposed to help with the dip in hormones so I will start those tonight and see how I do.

angela, I can get up if I have to or there is something I want to do. What's happening now is that mt housemates are away for a long weekend, and I have trouble maintaining any form of routine when there is no external structure or accountability to anchor my days. They are coming back tomorrow evening, so I should be able to get back to a more orderly life. (I live with my brother and his wife) Hope the supplements do what you want them to. Oh, those hormones. Glad to see you here posting. It was getting lonely!
