I had a similar problem once with my computer. It took awhile, but I figured it out and resolved it. I will try and recall what the resolution was & post it if I can bring it up in my memory. Update: I did a little research and what I read suggests that you might have a keyboard that is going bad and simply needs to be replaced. The problem I had, although similar was actually different, in that I had depressed the Windows key and some keys brought up shortcuts. First, though, before buying a new keyboard, see if the problem is duplicated with another keyboard. If you have an old keyboard or can borrow someone else's for this test, that would be helpful. Also: Try Castelcops for help troubleshooting computer problems. I have found some useful information there.

Thanks Eagle, it's resolved itself. Maybe just went into shock from being clean Replacing the keyboard would be funny on a laptop.. maybe I could just put another one over top.... Thanks, all good.

- Thanks to this challenge, I finished the vacuuming that I started on the November 1st accountabilty thread.
My living room was bad. I vacuumed it with the shop vac -- and filled it (16 gallons or 60 liters full).
And then I emptied the shop vac into the outside trash bin and shook out the filter.
Yay!

Clean my vaccuum cleaner? Oh, yes, it surely needs it. I have two Oreck vaccuum cleaners. Actually if I count the handheld model, I have three. One is for the restaurant. That is the one that needs cleaning the most.
The cord drags along the floor and gets really dirty, so dirty I don't even want to touch it. That is my plan for today: clean the cord of the vaccuum cleaner.
I did plan to do this on Tuesday night, but I got sidetracked and mopped and waxed the floors instead. But it stills needs doing. So today is now Thursday and I am posting about this to keep myself accountable.
I'll get back to you and tell you if I got it done.
