Scooped. I was going to change out the litter but decided to just pour some fresh litter on top.

Hello everyone, haven't been posting much but I have kept up with daily pet care. Today I changed the litter and refreshed the water bowl. Provided cat door opening service on demand - Lady Penelope is on her favorite chair (i.e. my chair) & washing behind her ears, which usually means rain is on the way.

Scooped after three days...I feel bad but baby keeps trying to scoop with me. All scooped and added baking soda. Fed all and got area swept and all bowls lined up with fresh food.

This is a great thread. It's still early here and I haven't scooped yet but I just wanted to say a bit thankyou! Keeping up with the litter box is such a big deal.

Joining in as none of my chores are on automatic anymore. I scooped and picked up last night. Also changed one of the Breeze pads. I need to scrub out one of the boxes. Hmm, will I get to it today? Will try... I think I could also work on reporting on cleaning up around the parakeets. I have been waiting until there are drifts of chaff and feathers before I do anything about it.

I misplaces the scoop while rearranging furniture yesterday. Did best I could with a bag over my hand.

My favorite litter scoop is called the Litter Lifter. So much stronger and it doesn't have that bar across the middle to collect stuff. It really does make a difference. Even scooping all the time, I think there are small pieces that get left behind, or urine that seeps down and reaches the bottom or sides of the box. I think the boxes should get changed out entirely occasionally. I try to rotate mine so that they always have some that are fresher (all new litter), some that are deeper, etc. This is my favorite litter by far: www.tractorsupply.com/en/store/paws-and-clawsreg%3B-scoopable-kitty-litter-25-lb Even when it isn't on sale, it's $0.24 a pound if you buy it in the 25lb bag. Cheap, no perfume smell, low dust. Love it. I misplaced my scoop ...found it today...but in meantime I ordered the litter lifter off amazon and look forward to it doing a better job that what I am used to! Also I'm on a budget, so next time I buy littler I'm going to try the stuff from tractor supply. Thanks for the recs! i scooped scraped swept and added fresh top layer of litter this Morn.

I have a very good litter scoop but it's useless clutter now... haven't used it in nearly 5 years since the switch to paper shreds. I wonder if it should go to Goodwill or to recycling?
I've neglected posting on this thread for a long time (and many of my other threads as well... trying to get better about that). But I haven't neglected the litterbox duties.
Done for Friday: - litterbox scrubbed and refilled with fresh paper shreds - toilet swished and swiped - trash emptied and bin relined - fresh towels in kitchen and bath
Will do it again in 2 days, on Sunday.
