Hi, folks. Everyone was quite busy yesterday.
Razy, a little bit of letdown after completing the big project? Great job, BTW. Udderchaos, I hope you are enjoying your shiny mirrors. Djollydjolan, did you check out the gym? Celeste, glad the thermostat got replaced. Sauna's are great, but only when you choose them, right? Mouse, great job putting things away. CanDo, you really seem to be tackling the eating area AND the papers. Lessismore, you had a very productive day! AnnieOkie, it's great you could fill up the tank for $20. Saffron, I used to work those hours, too. It was really hard on my body and sapped my energy.

Take meds Update Fanfare Send Cousin John more old family photos via email Write note to Cousin Donna regarding pix (started) Send snail mail to Cousin Donna for email addy Maintenance Gathered trash and got it out for Dad Visit Mother Attend Insurance evaluation with Mom Go outside to the inner patio with Mom Ran out of time Vote Say good-bye to constant political ads Watched election coverage _________________________________________ I exhausted myself so much yesterday pushing Mom "around the block" that I didn't have the energy to complete some of my tasks. Hopefully, I will get more done today, but I AM feeling very tired these days. I'll do what I can and try to forgive myself for falling short of perfection, if need be. _________________________________________ Eagle - Thanks for starting the thread today. Yes, I'm relieved the sauna is gone. It was very confusing to the cats, who couldn't figure out how it could be high summer in the house and pleasant autumn outside! tiredofthis - Good luck with the laundry and bedroom! You deserve a restful, peaceful place to sleep, you know. djdj - Migraines are bad enough without complications, hon. Don't push yourself too hard today. Rest often, take in fluids, and try not to stress out too much. Feel better SOON! AnnieOkie - Good luck getting to the polls at a decent time. That is always up for debate here: What's the best time to go? Best wishes with the table-clearing and laundry today.

Wow! You all continue to inspire me! DJ--hope the migraine is gone! Sorry you had to experience that...hate those darn things!
Eagle--thanks for the support. I wish that I could keep up with everyone the way you do...
Today's tadas: 1)dressed2shoes 2)took DD to school 3)played with puppy 4)took DS to school 5)voted 6)got 4 vials of blood drawn & urine sample 7)drank 5 glasses of water 8)went to see if that place where I've taken old computers & parts is still there & find out their hours... yes, they are. 9)went to bank 10)picked up DS from school 11)did maintenance on Eating Area table & went thru yesterday & today's mail -- put it away where it goes (including shred bag & recycle bag) 12)picked up DD from school 13)showed piece of mail to DH re: tax stimulus check, now I can file it. 14)made spaghetti 15)put away hand-washed stuff from drainboard 16)unloaded dishwasher 17)emptied kitchen trash, sprayed can & replaced bag
Hmmm.... was watching election coverage & fell asleep on couch. I know that I needed to sleep, but really didn't want to take a nap at that time cause I still have much to do. And, I wanted to go to bed early, instead...
18)put load of laundry in washer 19)put left-overs away 20)folded/hung load of laundry
21)put that load away 22)washed 1 sinkful of dishes & a cookie sheet 23)moved load of laundry into dryer 24)got another sinkful of dishes soaking & pots & pans soaking 25)don't know what made me notice and swipe clean squalorous looking area at bottom of fridge & 1 edge of door, and a little bit of inside walls of refrigerator and some awful looking spots & splatters on the front of the refrigerator.
Why is it that I or whomever in this household can spill something & just leave it? I mean, something had spilt down the inside wall near front of refrigerator. Hmmmm. Something to ponder...
26)washed another sinkful of dishes -- have 4 pots left to wash, but can't as I 27)finally got DD to take a shower! 28)washed top of stove 29)washed kitchen table 30)washed 1 kitchen sink counter
31)cleaned 2 dog food bowls 32)went to Staples earlier, and bought printer paper 8.5 x 14 size 33)washed those last 4 pots 34)put 4 papers from Eating Area into recycle bag
Back to it! CD

Looks like self-forgiveness is necessary! Got watching election coverage and couldn't tear myself away. Now I'm too tired to concentrate on the cerebral tasks left. Tomorrow I will. Honest! (I have plans to rearrange my list a bit. Yes, I'm a tease!) _________________________________________ lessismore - Keep plugging away at that thesis! You'll get there. Try using breaks away from the thesis to clean. I find I get less tired if I can mix mental and physical activities. Cando - You really got a lot done in the kitchen today. That spaghetti sounds yummy. lilith - Kudos to you for getting up and moving even when you are depressed! You also made dinner and did you civic duty by voting. As you are depressed, don't forget to give yourself ta-das for everything you do. It is far too easy to focus only on the bad. Instead, celebrate the good, no matter how humble or petty it may seem to you at the time. Those trivial deeds will grow as your sense of self-worth and empowerment grows.
