Today was my 2nd day in a row doing the dishes (I actually did them twice today so far). I'm all caught up and I am determined not to get behind again.
I am highly considering stocking up on paper and plastic for when the baby is born, since I'm the designated dishwasher. How exactly would that fit in with this group?

Breakfast dishes and pans all washed up. For good measure, I also shined the sink with Bar Keepers Friend. It's blindingly brilliant now.

Hello wynken, cleanbee, MrsMessy, illuminatedmayhem, papermoon - good work all. illuminatedmayhem - if paper plates work for you then that is a good option. I think the key is experimenting to see what works.
papermoon - good to see you have your sunglasses on to cope with the brilliant shine of your sink wynken - the mini counter waste bin sounds like a good idea. Good work for including it in your washing duties.
I had nearly finished the dishes tonight, when I received a phone call, and had to take off my rubber gloves to answer. As a consequence, there are a few dishes waiting, however I will polish them off tomorrow morning.

Dishes washed! It makes one appreciate clean dishes when you haul and heat the water.

All loaded and tidy here tonight. It's just me at my house, so those of you who are cleaning up after family, extended family , or dealing with plumbing or hot water issues, are the real heroes here. Good work, all.

Haven't been checking in, but that doesn't mean I'm not thinking of you all. And it also doesn't mean I haven't been doing those dishes! 13 days in a row here. My husband is thrilled. Nice work all around, and thanks for the accountability!

We were out of town for most of the day yesterday and just ate out but there were a few odds and ends in the sink I didn't get around to because when we were home my friend was over.
I did get everything washed and put away today though.
I guess I'm back to 1 day. With a record of 2 in a row. I'll do better this time.
