Nice work all around Thanks for posting the quotes about dishwashing. And doing the dishes when you don't know where to start is also a great tip. I find when I slack on the dishes, it all starts to go downhill from there. From the sink I can follow the mess to the counters, trash bins, and fridge. I'm on day 8. This is a lifetime record for me. Thanks

Got all the dishes done for past two days. With baby I haven't quite gotten to daily. I also cleaned out fridge so I did load of containers from unused leftovers. Scrubbed inside of fridge and shelves. Cleaned out sugar container also. Dropped lemon juice in it so cleared it out and got new sugar.

I saw this thread, but have put off posting. I guess I wanted to put off actually doing the dishes. I'm going to go ahead and post this and hope to start making a change in the kitchen today. Dishes have always been an issue for me.

Well I got the dishwasher filled and going (a big deal for me right now) I have three pans to hand clean (not bad ones) and I need to clean out the sink and clean the counter, but I have to say that posting here really did help. Thanks

Mostly all washed this morning, had a pot to soak so that is still in the sink.
I don't usually empty the drainer, sometimes but not always. More often I just use the same dshes over and over and use them right out of the drainer.

March 1st... I have one more month to go to make a full year of doing the dishes every day. I well remember how waking up to a dirty kitchen used to drag me down and set the dreary tone for the day, and thus the cycle continued on and on and on. I never want to live like that again. I believe that not doing the dishes was a *cause* of my depression, rather than a result of it. And I keep proving that to myself every single day... for the past 11 months and counting. I

MW You are in good company here. getting started. Just keep plugging away at them. papermoon is our shining example of the change that can happen, starting with getting into those dishes daily. I think not washing up and depression are hand in hand partners. They certainly intensify the other, and cause more upset down the track as sequential things become more difficult. I'm sitting here today unfed, because I didn't do last night's dishes. There is a cure for that I know. I'll follow MW's example. Post then do.

Oh wynken, I know that feeling. I am sending you some positive vibes to help get those dishes moving along their path.... I have been keeping up pretty well with the dishes, just haven't been able to post for a while. I have a mini-backlog at the moment, but nothing that can't be fixed in less than 15 minutes. So, I guess I had better get cracking.

I did them. All 21 items. tossed 4 things inc wash up brush that's shedding bristles. Then I remembered the water filter jug needs a good cleaning so its dismantled. waiting. I had a something to drink/eat, that will tide me over enough to get my day going.
