This is the Working in Threes Thread (W.I.T.)
EVERYONE IS WELCOME, especially if you've never posted before!
The guidelines are simple:
- Do some little thing to make your house less squalorous. - Do one more little thing. - Do another little thing.
Once you have 3 things done, post them here.
- Post the next 3 things you plan on doing. - Go forth and conquer, return and post again.
Remember - if you are tired or sick or injured or depressed or overwhelmed, you are in the right place!
If the next 15 minutes consists of:
- Looked at hopeless living room and felt like crying - Decided you could take empty pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Picked up fast food wrappers on coffee table and put them in trash
. . . YOU HAVE ACHIEVED THREE - DOM !!!
You could post:
Ta - Da's - Took pop can to kitchen - Put away phone book - Threw away McDonald's wrappers
Then your To - Do's: - Bring plates and glasses to kitchen - Put dirty socks in hamper - Bring folded towels to linen closet and put away.
Whether you do those three to-do's, or something completely different, once you've gotten 3, come back and post.
Remember to take breaks and drink water. Drinking water counts as a Ta-da!
If you can notice what the person before you did, it might cheer them up to hear from you.
Go forth, have fun, and be generous to yourself with the Ta-das. YOU DESERVE THEM!

Good morning, everyone! Ta Das! Cleaned litter box Fed cat, walked the dog (dog has a new self-feeder. Works great, because he doesn't overeat.) Took out recycling and trash to curb. One bag of weekly garbage/trash from kitchen & bathroom; 6-1/2 bags from desqualoring. To do: Get ready and go to work Get coffee Make appointment for a bone density test before health insurance changes.

Sapphire, you'll love the Wii. Spend the extra money and get the Wii Fit, too. My daughters even like it! Good luck on accomplishing all of your "to do's" today, everyone! Ta-Da's: 1. Sheets in washer and now dryer; another load in washer 2. Did yoga with Wii Fit -- that one's fun (but I'm a beginner, so it was only 18 minutes altogether) 3. Ate a cholesteral-healthy breakfast of oatmeal; set out water; set out fruit to eat before heading for other snacks, i.e. my girls' Halloween bags! To Do's: 1. Clean master bathroom -- yes, I'm putting it off... 2. Make bed 3. Do strength training with Wii Fit - this one's hard! "Talk" to you later, mle

messyshelby, good job on getting another section of your kitchen countertop clean. That's how I do it too -- one section at a time. It does make a difference! Ta Da's: 1. Cleaned master bathroom -- except for the floor 2. Made bed 3. Did strength training with Wii Fit -- not my favorite; it's hard Reward: Spa time with book To Do's: 1. Clean bathroom floor 2. Check into recaulking countertop 3. Work on guest room for 15 minutes "Talk" to you later, mle
