Oh, Celeste. I have such difficulty keeping up with everyone & trying to get things done at the same time. (Also, I'm very forgetful...I'll read someone's post & think that's great or want to comment about something & then, by the time I've opened to post something---have already forgotten!)
Speaking of forgetful or something... went to post office to drop off bill payments in mailbox & somehow one did not get in there. I came home & while still in my van noticed this envelope & argghh!
I hope everyone knows that I care about them & even if I don't post to you as individually doesn't mean that I am not thinking of you.... and cheering you on as I get my stuff done.
I've just really been trying hard since I was sick last month & have been getting more done than I have in past years. I need to continue... I'm an ole-timer here & it is about time I get the place cleaned up & having visitors overs... I've hated living this way & seem to finally be able to get stuff done!
Lilith -- Good luck working on your job list/schedule. That is something that I need to do. I've tried doing it before and I get more done when I do it. I need to figure out a weekly time for bill paying (Desk Day), grocery shopping, running errands/returns, ... Flylady has some great suggestions for that, so will return to there to look at her ideas.
Today's tadas: 1)dressed2shoes, brushed teeth & hair 2)made my bed 3)took DD to school 4)took puppy 5)came back home & took DS to school 6)walked with DAngelDog for 20 minutes....was supposed to have done this yesterday, darn it! but, glad that I made myself do it today even tho I'm off schedule now. 7)paid 8 bills!!! (so much easier to carry & find things now that I decluttered my Office in a Bag...) 8)ordered DS's Senior Pictures 9)left voice mail re: Marching Band DVD 10)paid 1 bill at the bank 11)put 1 paper that has been in Office in a Bag but should have been in with my service papers on my car...put it in my car. Had been in O.in a Bag for a year, so finally where it should be! put Load #1 in washer 12)folded load of laundry 13)put that load away 14)hung Load #1 to dry 15)put Load #2 in washer 16)emptied kitchen trash, sprayed can & replaced bag 17)took 2 bags of trash to outside can 18)took 1 bag of recyclables to outside can 19)shredded a grocery size bag of papers 20)picked up DS from school
21)moved Load #2 into dryer 22)picked up puppy 23)picked up DD from school 24)went to grocery store 25)put all groceries away 26)went thru most of today's mail--just have left a package of coupons & a coupon book(what to do with that?) 1 item has confused me, but of course, couldn't talk to DH at that time---looks like he changed something with our credit card, uh oh...hope it doesn't affect our APR, etc. 27)went to sleep early (but fully clothes, tennis shoes still on & contacts still in) -- woke up at 2am & checked on DD who is still up working on a PHysics project & to write a check. 28)wrote check for DS's violin tutor 29)also, checked to see if email back from person who handles section pictures for Marching Band 30)earlier today -- ordered individual pictures of DD in uniform. 31)set out to do 5 things as per Nov. 5th Number challenge, but got carried away & put 23 papers that were in Eating Area into recycle bag. 32)Started going thru one of the bags that's on the floor of Eating Area. 8 more papers into recycle bag & paper napkin with writing on it went into the trash... Have small stack of items to be filed & 2 to ask DH about... 33)As per the Creative, Fun Challenge -- I finally swept up the hair/fuzz/Dust that was "seen" rolling around the kitchen floor making faces at me.

_________________________________________ Didn't spend much time with Mom today. She was very delusional and was convinced she'd read in the paper that everyone in the state voted for the same person in the presidential election. She said they recorded our vote wrong. She wanted to complain to someone about it and get it changed. Sigh. I saw her with Dad, who kept asking her to repeat everything because he couldn't hear her. I had to bite my lip to keep from screaming in frustration, so I washed Mom's dishes to distract myself instead. I left shortly thereafter. Who knew that frustration could be good for cleaning? Live and learn. _________________________________________ Eagle - Thanks for getting thread started today, Earlene! AnnieOkie - Nice going, Annie! Does the dog take those meds quietly, or do you need to use persuasion -- or stealth? lilith - Good luck on those tasks, lilith. Looks like you already have a very clear idea what you need to do. Go for it! lessismore - Wow, lessismore! LOOK at those strikethroughs! You really outdid yourself! You inspired me today. Every time I looked you had more tasks completed. Well done! Cando - Your DAngelDog probably appreciated every moment your 20 minutes walk, even if it did put you behind. You still got a lot done today and took care of yourself and the dog in the process. Good work!

Aw, Celeste. so sad & frustrating about your parents.
"Who knew that frustration could be good for cleaning? Live and learn" -- hmmm. thought provoking...
You got tons done, today. Charcoal drawing? What's it of, Celeste?
About my DAngelDog--- I didn't mean that walking her messed up my daily schedule. I have started a new plan "Couch to 5K Conservative Run Program". I am in Week 4 of Phase 1. I was supposed to walk on Tuesday. ... I am still in the walking phase, so probably will be okay.
Going back to bed... CD

Great job, everyone. Lilith, I meant to get back yesterday to say welcome back. I haven't seen you in awhile.
Celeste, I understand the sigh. You were smokin' on the Fanfare list, though.
CanDo, it's great that you finally got that paper into the car and paying 8 bills. Kudos.
Lessismore, you got a lot done on your list. Purging papers is quite an accomplishment. (I did some of that, too.) But getting rid of the broken printers is really a big deal. Fabulous.
AnnieOkie, you sure seem to have the start to your day well organized.

Never got to check back in last night, but WOW you people went like crazy yesterday!! Pats on the back all around. Celeste-I hide my dog's pill in a piece of hot dog... I used to use cheese, but she figured out how to nibble around the pill and just eat the cheese! It was cute to watch, but not very productive on getting the pill down. To Do's- All of these are void. I spent the evening making a t-shirt and mask for my younger son's school project. I love to make things, but didn't get anything else done.-Wash dishes. -Wash load or two of towels. -Pick up one bag of items from living room. Ta Da's -Supper for myself. -Meds to dog. -Made above.

Celeste, Cando, and Eagle -- thanks for the acknowledgements. I do feel good about what I accomplished yesterday. I actually had one broken printer and one that simply wasn't compatible with my computer. A friend said she would like the one that works, and I...well, I tossed the other one. With the move coming up, I'm taking amnesty with some things. I still have goodwill and recycle going, but I wouldn't want someone to unknowingly buy a broken printer from goodwill. I'm sorry I don't have time for individual kudos, but I hope everyone here knows I'm keeping up with your accomplishments and cheering you on. I wouldn't be getting all of this done without you!

Cando - Mother has been bragging about all my artwork in her room to the staff of the home. Unfortunately, there wasn't any! This is my attempt to make an honest woman of Mom. The charcoal drawing is a huge drawing I did while I was in school. It is a landscape of a rather hoary old oak tree which had a lot of hard living under it's belt bark. It hung in our living room for years and I thought it would make Mother feel at home while giving her a chance to brag. Some of the other hangings in her room are her own work (embroidery mostly). Those are the pieces I brag about! She was excellent with many types of sewing skills: hand-sewing, embroidery, knitting, crocheting. At one point, she was even making my father's suits and ties! Thanks for the clarification on DAngelDog and your exercise plan. It doesn't sound like much, if any, harm was done by rearranging the exercise day a tad. Sounds like a worthy goal. Keep us posted! Eagle - I hadn't realized it until I got through it, but Fanfare tasks were weighing on me emotionally. It is a load off my shoulders to have so much done and ready to go. I also hadn't consciously seen how far behind I was until I was updating. Maybe that was just as well! AnnieOkie - Your dog's efforts to open the pill cheese wrapper sound ingenious... and adorable. It would be fun to watch. A dog's oral dexterity, especially when it comes to pills, always astounds me. lessismore - I understand perfectly about the need to balance doing your tasks and commenting on others' accomplishments. Just by doing, you encourage, so don't worry about it.
