Good morning eagle, thanks for starting the thread. Your mornings sound so peaceful....watching the birds especially! Ta Da's -Up, shower, meds, ready for work. -Made bed. -Took trash out for pick-up. -Disposed of the remains of my son's gold fish. It lasted almost two weeks.... Called him at his Dad's and told him because he will be coming into the house today and didn't want him to find out that way. Forgot dog's meds. To Do's -Need to pay credit card bill by phone to avoid late fee. Not a whole lot today, going to fiance's after work. Will have to go pick up my dog and change clothes. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Hi Annie & EAgle. Thanks for starting the thread, Eagle. Wow! Look at all those checkmarks on your list...so early in the morning, too. You rock, Eagle! Sorry to hear about your crystal bowl and that you had to clean all those smitherines. BTW, there's a curious item on your list..."clean the cord of the vacuum cleaner"? (Oops, just read your post on the other thread...)Got a lot to do today as my DMom will be coming in town to stay with us tomorrow... She wants to help me so badly, and it is so hard for her to understand...but she is trying and is so sweet. I know she will make faces because she won't be able to help doing that... but it is okay. She's seen my the awful condition of my home, but I'd love to have things possibly better than she expects & please, oh please, don't let it be worse. I just had needed her to come as I had been so depressed and feeling so worthless. And, we had talked about how nice it would be if we could just go on a vacation somewhere together... but then it always came back to ...where would we go & what would we do & then all the expense. Then, she will say "I know what I'd really like to do because I like to work..." I knew she meant help me get my house cleaned up & I want that so badly as well. And, I know that if I were to leave town & just vacation--then I'd come back and things wouldn't have improved...and would have felt guilty except for the wonderful time spent with my Mom... CD

Today's tadas: 1)took DD to school 2)showered2shoes, brushed teeth 3)took DS to school 4)put front bathroom rugs in washer (load #1 for today) 5)boiled some eggs 6)folded/hung load from yesterday 7)put that load away 8)moved Load #1 into dryer 9)put load #2 into washer 10)drank 2 glasses of water
11)hung dry Load #2 12)drank glass of water 13)filed stack of papers 14)recycled/filed papers from result of bill paying from office in a bag. 15)put Load #3 in washer 16)hung to dry Load #3 17)put Load #4 in washer 18)sent email re: sweatpants 19)tried to call again re: Marching Band dvds. 20)hung Load #4
25)put Load #5 into washer 26)decluttered a little from a box in the EAting Area for 15 minutes *1 paper shred bag *4 papers/magazine trash *30 papers in recycle bag *19 papers to be filed 27)filed those 19 papers 28)put package of printer paper in Office of Doom 29)moved Load #5 into dryer 30)folded/hung Load #5
31)put Load #5 away 32)spent 20 minutes in DD's room. Can I just say, "Argghh!"?! *put plastic bags from cleaners with other plastic bags in a different room *put tissue paper from cleaners into trash *put paper/cardboard " " into recycle bag *hung all the clothes that were hanging on her door knobs in her closet.. she is supposed to be doing this. Arggh! She obviously hasn't been. But, I do realize that she has been doing a lot, but I fear that I am making excuses for her. She is in Marching Band with practices after school for over 2 hours except for 1 day/week & she is also in IB which is very difficult. And, game nights she stays at school from 7:30 in the morning until midnight --those are once a week. The last 3 weekends she has also had Marching band competitions that are all day and into late night. So, she has been running herself ragged to the point that I don't think it is even healthy. She has been stressed about Physics project she is working on, etc........... I am proud of her & yet hate that she is doing all this. I think she would be taking better care of her room if it wasn't for all she is doing... but there has to be a way, huh? Well, I haven't been setting a good example either... *ditto the above with the folded clothes on her bed. I put them away. She also needs to have her room re-organized & I have failed her there, truly.... *I rearranged a few things having to do with the clothes, but totally needs a re-do! 33)ordered Marching Band Dvds. -- Whew! finally got thru to company... 34)spent more time in DD's room -- Did I mention that my DMom will be sleeping in her room? *9 bottles removed, some with drink in them. *moved clutter & boxes around, stacked books, tried to categorize stuff, Like with like, picked some stuff up, put where goes,. *emptied trash *1 grocery bag full of trash *Some in recycle bag *Dusted bed frame *got most of the terrible smudges on wall next to light switch & the light switch 35)more time spent in DD's room *3 more bottles removed *had her go thru 3 backpacks -- one went to top of her closet. She wants to change her school back pack to this one, 1 went in the attic, 1 went into giveaway bag along with a few doll toys, and some kind of metal case. *more trash, more recyclables. *an entire box of recyclable papers that she had already gone thru a couple months ago, but then left the box in her room on the floor. That is now removed from her room. *Some office supplies put in to Office Supply Closet in Room of Doom. *DD put some other stuff away in a drawer & I found places on shelves in her closet for some stuff.
Still have lots more to go in there. 36)got DH to unpack his big suitcase that has been sitting in the den for at least 2 weeks now...since his trip to France & Scotland. 37)took the two smaller suitcase type bags that have been in the Entry Hall for about a month now and put those inside the empty big suitcase. Also, took the inside piece that goes in the big suitcase but was living seperately in my Entry Hall for about a month & put it in the suitcase 38)helped DS put it up in the attic. 39)helped DS figure out possible dates for his EAgle Project 40)got dishes soaking
41)finished all that I'm going to do in DD's room. It is definitely good enuf, but there is soo much more that really needs to be done. I hope that my DMom will be able to help out with that room. I didn't have time to declutter everything. Here's basically what I did in there: *changed the linens & put brand new comforter on the bed (the linens did take a while because the first fitted sheet that I wanted to use had two or three stains on it & just didn't look good at all. The next one was too small -- must've shrunk? The third one fit great although the sound of the elastic didn't sound quite right...just old & worn out, I guess). *the floor is pretty clear now, except for CD player, and one area of the room is filled with boxes, etc. That is kind of in a corner or out of the way area...kind of odd shaped room... *cleaned the top of the desk. REally needed it. Had to do it twice. Need to find a place for DD's make-up container. Needs to be condensed, too. Two Deodarants are on the desk, her new, used laptop, 2 pencil holders, contact lens stuff, retainer container, Small zip bag with mints & gum. *cleaned the top of the dresser, twice. The chest of drawers & shelves did not get touched but they are in that area with the boxes... *cleaned out some incredibly dusty stuff from under the bed. Did not even move the bed out to get everything out from under it. Just the stuff that i could reach. Threw most of it away. *used dog comb thingie to gather a ton of hair from one side of the bed near the wall where DAngelDog lots to sleep. *straightened the small shelves/cabinet next to the bed. Dusted it, too. *changed the vacuum cleaner bag *vacuumed her room *Ended up with 3 grocery sized bags of trash & 1 big bag of trash, a box of papers to be recycled & a grocery sized bag of papers to be recycled. Also, 2 bags of giveaway stuff.
REally we didn't go thru much stuff...this was just the obvious stuff.
So, that room is ready for her to stay in ...just not very pretty except for the bed with the new comforter. CD

Take meds Declutter my bedroom Review my mail Created blurb on new Encounters for Fanfare Club News   Not released until after this weekend's performances Sort laundry and get it to the laundry room Maintenance Visit Mother _________________________________________ Saving kudos until the end of the day seems to help me stay focused. I think I'll continue that plan. Again, please don't mistake my lack of comments for indifference or lack of attention. I AM watching and I AM delighted with all the activity going on. Good luck, everyone! I'll be cheering, even if you can't hear it... yet.

Maintenance is my goal. Maintain my kitchen and table. Getting easier. Last night was hard. I fell asleep after dinner. I woke up and went into the kitchen to clean up. I did the dishes and the pans. Just a short time ago I would have stayed in bed and left the mess. Add to that: Declutter desk--toss papers Move birdcage to desk. Clean birdcage. Clean top of tv stand. Move collectible cars stand to top of tv stand.

Awp! Didn't do so well! My shoulder was troubling me, and as mild pain relievers weren't affecting it much, I took Darvocet. Wham! Out like a light! Unlike Shellby, I didn't wake up to pick up my tasks. Oh well. There's Friday. _____________________________________________ Eagle - That was a long list and it is DONE! Impressive, my friend. AnnieOkie - Sorry about your DS's goldfish. When my parents were living in student housing, they kept my brother's goldfish on top of the furnace (which decorated the living room, believe it or not). About this time of year it got chilly one evening and they turned on the furnace, forgetting the fish... Well, you get the picture. Cando - Another humongous list with a lot done. Wow! You aren't leaving much for your mother to do! I'm impressed with the amount of paperwork and laundry you've managed to run through. Well done! lessismore - You are getting tons done these days. How wonderful to hear that you are actually excited about doing it. It is certainly easier to do that way, isn't it? djdj - Watching you consistently get through that long list inspires me, my friend. Well done! messyshellby - Hey! YOU got up to work... I didn't! I grovel!
