Hi, everyone. CanDo, I hope you have a great visit with your mom. She wants to help, and that is a great thing. You got so much done yesterday, it is a wonder you were still standing by the end of the day. Maybe not, maybe you simply collapsed into bed. I hope you had a good nights sleep. Lessismore, I see that you also had a very productive day. So many things crossed off your list. Djollydjolan, I see that you also got a lot crossed off. I'm sure it's hard to study while feeling groggy. At least that's how I remember it; it's been a lot of years since I had to study. Celeste, decluttering your bedroom is a big deal. I have some things to do in mine, that really need doing. It a goal for me this week. Dead plants in the bedroom, not a good thing. I should add that to my list & maybe I'll actually get around to dealing with it. AnnieOkie, did you get that credit card bill paid? MessyShelby, it's great that you can get up and do the dishes instead of blowing them off. Great progress!

Time to shift my focus for a few days. My monday deadline is precariously close, and I've worked too hard for too long to blow it on the home stretch. I'm going to come back and post progress on my thesis rather than cleaning. I might do some stuff around the house during my breaks--I'll post those, too. No list until tasks are completed. Wish me luck. Thesis: 1. cleaned up outline for intro 2. called and left message for chair seeking info/advice 3. formatted methods chapter 4. formatted results chapter 5. panicked briefly 6. met with thesis chair 7. sorted and organized literature 8. outlined literature review Home: 1. kitchen maintenance 2. kitchen trash out

Sad to report that I seriously overestimated what I could accomplish last night. By the time I got home and finished dinner up I was exhausted. So I have amended the birdcage stuff to be done on Saturday. Today I have to get the filters for the heater. Hubby got all the vents open and cleaned out. I will move bird tonight so we can turn on the heater! I was freezing this morning. Thank goodness for space heaters. Today is just going to be a maintain day. Been a very long, stress filled week.

__________________________________________ Finally got some pictures on the walls for Mom. She was getting perturbed at the time it was taking. Dad "helped". Unfortunately, his fading mental skills made it difficult for him to calculate where to hang nails to get pictures to hang at the right height. I had no trouble, but Dad had to check it six or seven times and STILL hesitated. It got frustrating for Mother and I. Told supervisor Angie about the last heavy drawing to hang over the bed. Over a certain weight, they require the building maintenance men to hang. Angie came down to see where it was to go. On the way, she told me that Mom had a temper tantrum Wednesday night and threw something at the staff. Yikes. I apologized and told her to call if they couldn't get her to calm down. That was the night that Mother was so agitated about the election results. We came over that evening, but we left after a short while because Dad kept asking her to repeat everything and re-rousing her. __________________________________________ Eagle - Hope you can see in your entryway soon. Did you get measurable snow? We didn't. The temperature was right at 32°F and the precipitation wasn't sure if it wanted to be rain or snow, so it took turns. AnnieOkie - Amusing how misplaced presents seem like such treasure, isn't it? I'm sure your DS had a ball getting something special with his gift card. I'm going to have to borrow a page from your book and work on financial paperwork SOON. Lilith - Hey! You figured out how to use the checkboxes! That rates as a "ta-da", in my book. You are also keeping up with dish maintenance and that "miracle" should head your list! Very well done, Lilith. lessismore - I have high hopes for that thesis. You've been aiming toward it for a long time. You go, girl! Knock 'em dead! messyshellby - Sometimes we get a bit overambitious. Reality checks are a great mind and temper saver. You are doing fine. Don't drive yourself so hard that you burn out. djdj - Okay, dumb question time: Who are Percy and Dorito? Ferrets? Cats? Fish?

Hi Y'all. It is going to be hard for me to keep up with y'all while my DMom is here.
This morning, woke up with another headache. Could be lack of sleep, or due to the way I slept with part of DH's pillow on top of my pillow & so I was kind of on top of two pillows. Another strange position. I took 2 Excedrin & stripped to cool down & felt better in about 45 minutes. Thank Goodness!
DJ--I am worried about you reading my thread, if you are. Cause it is mostly about my DMom and I know you are suffering terriby right now. You have made me appreciate my Mom so much more and I thank you for that. I think of you often, DearOne. So, please don't read any further if it causes you pain....just skip my posts.
Tadas: 1)took DD to school 2)went to go thru car wash but they wanted to charge me $40.00 when their posted rate was much less... so decided these are not honest folks and had no choice but to go somewhere else. 3)took DS to school 4)went to another car wash...unfortunately, further away, so took more time. They were very thorough there & the interior of my van & windows is much improved. You know how it is with dogs & kids(teens) and 2 adults that are well...you understand I am on this website..... Anyway, lots of dog hair, etc., smudged windows all over due to puppy nosings & lickings. The outside of my car looked terrible...its really been embarrasing, but did the affect me washing the car sooner? No! It took my mother coming in town today! Anyway, I thought they did a great job considering how awful my supposedly "white" van looked. 5)went to grocery store...this is one that is down the street & thought it would be a quick trip to mostly get a few things to have on hand for my Mom. Well, they are remodeling so it took a lo-n-g time! A couple hours later & still came out & got home only to realize that I forgot the Orange Juice. And, they didn't have one of the items she would have liked & another item got confused cause wasn't exactly as she described... 6)put all groceries away 7)played with puppy for a few minutes FRONT BATHROOM WAS NEXT: 8)immediately squirted the toilet bowl cleaner on toilet 9)then, put scrubbing bubbles all over the tub/shower walls. 10)then put scrubbing bubbes on the filthy discolored areas surrounding the very bottom of the toilet -- Ooh, yuck. 11)sprayed bubbles over the rest of the toilet 12)removed a bunch of hair from the bathtub drain by using a piece of a coat hangar. Gross, but had to be done just in case it's been clogging & no one told me... 13)scrubbed toilet with scrub brush 14)swiped up the bubbles from the floor around toilet. This was really gross and disgusting. some wormy type things had come up from under the toilet! OMG! I was so grossed out & disgusted. I swiped them up and added more bubbles & in some spots some toilet bowl cleaner. Those disgusting thiings stopped coming out, but I'm scared that they'll be back. Yuck! 15)laid paper towels down in hallway 16)removed stuff from sink counter & from edge of tub (not much from tub area...only 4 items) and set them on the paper towels. 17)washed down the walls of tub/shower. 18)sprayed bubbles all over sink counter & in sink 19)put Ajax on edge of tub in two spots & the rest on the inside of the tub & let this sit. 20)swiped up the bubbles from where I put them on the outside of toilet 21)put Window Cleaner all over mirror 22)swiped the mirror clean 23)swiped the sink counter & sink clean 24)washed the bathtub & edge of tub 25)washed much of the floor on hands & knees as it needed it. 26)washed door where there were lots of ugly yellow spots splashed upon it... 27)put all things back on sink counter except put Hydrogen Peroxide back in bathroom closet & put 2 of DD's hair brushes, her curling iron, into drawer in bathroom & 3 things of DD's into her make-up box in her room. I wiped some items down as I put them back out. put the 4 items back on the edge in bathroom. 28)put rugs back down (those look real good since I washed them the day before yesterday)
Front Bathroom was finally finished!!!! But, took soo long in there due to those wormy type things...may have been some kind of larvae. I don't know but hope that I never see them again. That bathroom sparkles now---especially the bathtub & toilet!!!
OMG! Felt panicky. Ran out of time and soo much more to do. I feel depressed that I didn't get more done. And, now my DMom will be here & I will see the disappointment in her sweet face... I wanted soo badly to have more done...
29)I vacuumed the hallway. 30)put together a box & quickly put all the stuff from Orange Chair in den inside it & added it to wall of boxes in my bedroom. 31)rearranged some of DD's things she has been leaving on my couch & on the floor of den..started to carry it to her room, but then my Mom won't have enough room in there. So, just stacked better & moved to a different area of the room. 32)removed stuff from TV table DD's been using in the den & put the stuff with that other stuff I just mentioned. 33)washed off TV tale 34)folded it and put it in Office of Doom 35)put the rags that I used in front bathroom in the washer on soak cycle & stopped it so I could add the towel from the couch that the dogs have been laying on. 35)fluffed up pillows on couch that really need cleaning too....but... 36)moved a couple other things around 37)removed a bunch of hair/dust/dirt from Entry Floor. 38)vacuumed the den 39)emptied kitchen trash, sprayed can & replaced bag 40)EARLIER FROM BATHROOM ENDED UP WITH 3 BAGS of trash (mostly paper towels from cleaning stuff in there, hair/dirt/, paper towel core, etc. 41)put 3 bottles into recycle bag 42)put all dog toys into dog bed that I put in the den from DD's room last night. 43)spritzed special air spray in hallway, den, kitchen
Arggh! so much more.... had really wanted to mop the kitchen floor, terribly!
44)picked up DS from school 45)picked up DMom from airport -- So wonderful to see her! I love her soo much! 46)picked up Sub's from Firehouse Subs on way home 42)Went to Football game tonight...mainly to see DD in Marching Band. Halftime show. They are really, really good. Mom had never seen her with her Marching Band & although I had tried telling her all about it in the past. She could not get over how big a production & how huge everything was...and how fabulous! Thousands of people in the stands. 200 members in her Marching Band. Their Drumline is one of the nation's best. And, the football won their first game this entire season. It was also their last game ... so much excitement tonight. 43)ate supper at Whataburger with DMom & DH 44)picked up DD at 11:40pm from her school 45)drive thru for her for Mocha latte & meatless breakfast burrito, & shake for Dmom & latte for DH. nothing for me...still full from my 1/2 of sub sandwich. 46)washed dishes 47)took 3 bags of trash to outside can 48)put box of boxes from entry hall into garage --did that earlier today. 49)forgot to write that earlier this morning after I took DD to school, I took 5 bags of trash to outside can & 1 box of recyclables to ouside can & 1 box & 1 bag of recyclable papers were put in garage, 50)also made my bed this morning.
