I have so much work to do today, it's making my head spin! I'm getting a new couch, so *everything* has to be moved (incl. fridge) in order to accomplish that. I've even got new vacuum bags for the occasion - since who knows when it was cleaned back there last. I've successfully talked DH out of keeping the old couch, so a dump run is also in the future. Yay! What am I doing on the computer, when I have so much work to do??? Argh! I started taking apart my kitchen clutter zone because I'll need that free counter space, once I get to work. Who knows, maybe I'll even leave it barren for a while - except for a few plants, that is. Gotta get moving. Seriously. Have a great day, everyone!

I'm with Team Decrap for the weekend! I think I am not working again until Monday. Yay. Unfortunately it's going to be cold all weekend, but not so cold I can't get the dogs out for a good long hike or two along the lake and river trail. 'grats on the new couch, cyn. I'm going to draw up a to-do list for the weekend. It will be long.

So far today, I've - - finally watered the poor long-suffering plants on my balcony - finally folded and put away the laundry I did on Monday - and sorted three new loads of laundry to be done.

Load of laundry from washer to dryer. Box of hangars and clips finally dealt with. Had to attack clips to hangars to hang skirts snd jackets on one hangar.
Tossed the box in the recycle bag. Tossed the plastic wrap.
Found one suit to hang..... found one blazer and can't find the matching skirt.
Distracted. . Need to find my focus. Might just go to bed

- got my mail from my PO Box and - discovered that I have a traffic camera ticket for running red light a month ago. - went into my credit union to turn some change into folding money, and found out that my old debit card is good through, rather than until, April 2015; and the new debit card should be in the mail in a few more weeks. - finally got to the grocery store - took a(n apparently much needed) nap - fed the cat My goals for tonight are to: - feed the human (i.e., me) - and wash the dishes.

I am joining you this weekend. My parents left this morning at 9 and since then it took me an hour to clean and wipe the kitchen and wash dishes, clean the bathroom, put away remaining things. I also took away some garbage including few bigger pieces from the attic and took things I used for repoting my plants back to the basement. At ten I heard a great news: two young women kiddnapped in Pakistan TWO YEARS AGO are back at home! Honestly I did not think it is possible anymore. Many thanks to turkish IHH - Insani Yardim Vakfi organisation Then I hoovered everywhere and put a load of towells on - one more load will follow and I packed some recycling. To do later today (afternoon): repot geraniums take everything needed to the compost heap start bagging the dust I swept in the attic and have in buckets now Sunday: ironing more rubish bagging and later, probably the next weekend: box/bag the rest of the rubbish from the attic - there are two heaps and I brought home some boxes and sturdy bags to pack it bind the twigs in the yard for easier carrying I want to have it ready to take it away either in the big container we have here three times a year or if my neighbour will take it to the dump, whatever comes first. After that - sweep and mop the stairs

I was tired so I went to bed early. Got up about 4:30 a.m. and looked out the front door to see if all the kids got home safely. Noticed a few inches of snow in the front yard! yuck! so I went back to bed. Woke up about 8, and started getting things done! one load of laundry washed and ready to be hung up. Another load ready to wash. Today seems to be a kitchen day. I have the most random Tupperware type containers on my kitchen island. All of my matching Tupperware type containers have gone missing, so I reorganized the Tupperware cupboard and found homes for the random Tupperware. my kids are so ***, they throw the Tupperware out rather than bring it inside to wash it. thank goodness it's not real Tupperware but inexpensive plastic containers. Big wahoo here. my cabinets are a hot mess. a few years back I tried to clean them using a Mr Clean eraser, and it just took the finish off the cabinets. so I have ignored them for years. today I realized I have dirty crappy cabinets. so while I was doing the dishes I took some time to wipe down the cabinets, getting some of the dust cobwebs and spilled food off of them. they look so much better! I still need to get them refinished or polished or something, but at least they look like clean crappy cabinets! Time to go back and finish the pile in front of the kitchen island. I would like to be able to sweep and mop the floor by the time I am done. I think I can toss the dead plants !

Morning TML. Actually it is half past three in the afternoon here, but anyway I seem to have two two hour work shifts today. I cleaned the flat in the morning, then wrote down my expences, had a lunch, washed dishes, had a coffee, hung the second load of the laundry and then went to work in the basement. I repoted my geraniums - have one nice box now, took all the mess to the compost (two journeys), put properly away empty pots, cut dry stems of gladiolas (should have done months ago), swept the floor, then bound twigs from the yard and took them to the front of the house to have them ready for taking away - I have to go throught the basement, which ment I had to sweep it again. Then I swept the yard and started bagging the attic dust I had in the buckets in the basement. I regularly missed the bags, some tore through so I had to double or tripple them (realised that those small bags I wanted to use are a bad idea, so had to go upstairs for bigger ones). I made a really big mess there before I bagged it all. Now the bags are of a size I can put in my garbage can one at a time without worrying it would be too heavy. And without making more mess. I took all the recycling to the street corner to recycle bins and then decided since I am already so dusty and dirty, I could finish my attic. So I took the four boxes and a huge sturdy paper bag I brought from work and filled them with remaining heaps of a rubbish from the attic and took it the to the basement to the bags of a rubish. I can hereby pronounce my attic done. Of course I had to take a shower immediately and wash my hair. Also I had to change all my clothes. I am done and totaly finished for today. With my parents leaving today and me helping them carry bags down and all the cleaning, I run the three floors from the top to the bottom of the house at least ten times. To do tomorrow: ironing load of a dark laundry wrapp the present Tomorrow ar the next weekend, depending on my energy level: sweep and mop the house stairs

Good morning, gang! Wow, look at all the great work getting done while I lounge around! WTG, everyone! Lucie, wow that's *incredible* news about the 2 women! It must feel like a miracle, after so much time passed. I'm so happy for them, and for their families. It's my sleep-deprived weekend in full swing, but I have to help DH with 2 trips to the dump with our beat-up couch (that weighs a ton, ugh) get some shopping done and then work at 7pm. Big hairy UGH! I have managed to gather up some recycling and get it into the box, and rehung the freshly-washed curtain in my bedroom. But I wanna go back to bed! Whaaaa!

TML, cyn, lucie, blondie and the rest of Team Decrap, good whatever-time-it-is for you all! One pm EST here. (ick on the dead mousie, blondie.) I've been reasonably productive today, despite a late start. I'm going to tackle the pile of dishes in the sink, eat something, take dogs for walk along the river trail... Since it's cold but dry and sunny, I think I will start up my fire pit and burn more tree debris. Have a large yard with a bunch of trees and every spring I burn mountains of twigs that have gathered over winter. Also I should sweep the bedroom floor and do some more random picking up and dust-eliminating.

Ok. Broke down and made DH and I each a grilled cheese sandWich. Pan is in the sink. Dish washer ran and ready to unload. Putting clean clothes away and ready to run errands. I don't want to go out in the snow though.
Meeting some friends for a movie. So I had better get cracking and finish up so that I can take a shower.
Everyone is on such a roll this weekend! !!!
