Working 8 minutes. Taking a break. Working 8 minutes, and another break. But making progress.

Go for it! During the peak of my current flooded kitchen episode, all I wanted to do was curl up in a ball and avoid it, but with wood furniture and a myriad of other things sitting on water soaked and soggy carpet, that really wasn't an option. I set the timer and worked 8 minutes. Then I set it again and again. I admit I did push myself a little. Every time I wanted to quit, I said, "I can do 8 minutes." It kept the situation from turning into a really bad mess.

I have the flu and minibee is sick too. I am tired and don't feel like doing much. But I really need to. I'm committing to 5 minutes peeping the living room.

I really want to clean up the kitchen this morning. Mr Bee has taken minibee out to the park to give me some time to clean - which should be great and give me a chance to get lots done but I'm a bit unsure where to start. As always, I find myself back in this thread... I'm just gonna start with eight minutes.

4 x 8 minutes done! Dishwasher unpacked, repacked and put on. Bench cleared, washing up put away and more dishes soaked. Washing up still to go. I'm feeling brave so I'm going to do 15 minutes now!

Ugh. Halfway through the washing up. I think I need a mini break from it. 8 minutes on the living room.

dirtbee, you are doing great! I am.alwsys amazed how getting up to work for just a few minutes will usually get me going for a while. Motivation follows action.

I used a variation on your 8 min theme to move a mountain of mulch today. I had two yards of mulch and a three pound margarine tub. I moved it one tub at a time. It seemed overwhelming and daunting at first...but bit by bit...that pile slowly diminished. I did not make a huge dent in the pile but I did make an noticeable dent.
I am sore but happy!!
